I think I made a mistake when buying this card...  (  Airdrop works so well for me sending and receiving without turning bluetooth off and on, I have gone from Rocket lake to lenovo and from lenovo to rocket lake files by airdrop without problems 🤷‍♂️ )

 

Would this other work out of the box??:

I bought something like this (BCM94360HMB with 3 antennas) and as I wrote above, it has wrong device ID vendor ID and it works like BCM94352.

@PoMpIs That looks like a perfect card for my Dell Latitude E6410 (I have 3 antenna cables and am only using two of them).  Would love to know if that works with our hacks running Monterey and Ventura.

I bought one of those BCM94360HMB 2 years ago and I was not able to make it work properly. May be it's just me but I see more and more people having trouble with it.

I have investigated on aliexpress and the wifi says that it does not need kext, but the bluetooth does, So I guess Ventura will show Bluetooth as a third party controller and universal control won't work either 😔

 

Instead I have two of these cards:

One on the Lenovo 520s and another on the z790 board, which I have removed from the intel that it came with from the factory and everything works... universal control I like it a lot

 

but those are not compatible with the Lenovo that has Mini PCIe..

Have you tried to disable the internal graphics since Ivy bridge is not supported OOB in Ventura? In case you have a dedicated gfx of course.

i tried your efi but couldnt get ventura beta 11 to work  the boot process hangs at desmos ? what is it am i missing or should change since we dont have the same board and cpu ?

@Stefanalmare, @jsl2000 Thank you for your contribution and sharing information on how to install macOS Ventura on old hardware.  Thank you OCLP devs for making this possible.

 

Question @Stefanalmare, is there a requirement for cryptexfixup.kext to work? Even with -crypt_force_avx, it won't install Rosetta Cryptex on full app update. Or does it require flesh install of macOS Ventura from the USB installer?

So I updated my main system disk to Ventura 13.0

 

Everything went well, iMessage and continuity from my iPhone is as good as before.

 

Every year a new challenge from High Sierra on the same Nvme drive

i am upgraded to macos ventura last night.

so far so good.

 

but except it will auto wake up like very 5 hours. i input "sudo pmset schedule cancelall" to clear the scheduled events but it will auto add to power events while i wake up the machine.

macOS Monterey doesnt have such issue.

 

anyone have the same problem and know how to solve it? thanks a lot.

Why not? In theory FakeCPUID will be enough. May be some services will work incomplete. At your will using hackintosh on PC hardware.

It's just that you don't have to do anything... MacOS Ventura likes this hardware..

 

Everything works for me, Sleep, facetime, messages, speedstep, everything... even if I'm nearby if they call me on the phone, having an iPhone I can answer at the Raptor lake...

The i226v OOTB network also works, I just need to have VT-D activated in bios...

All the USBs work... and the wiffi and bluetooth, I have replaced the intel card that came with the motherboard for one of these:

I can use universal control and I use a MagicTrackpad with this system perfectly, even if it's in sleep with just clicking on the trackpad it wakes up..

 

I have even updated it to MacOS 13.1 beta and it works great too.

 

The truth is that the computer with MacOS is nice, but where I use it the most is in windows for games

Installation and activation of Intel hd 4400 full profile card.
Everything works fine
Before I had problems to activate full the video card recognized it with 4mb, then thanks to my friend PoMpIs for his support, I was able to activate it full profile.
