It should be a decent upgrade from my RX580. @SavageAUS - Yep, just to add to surenmunoo's post, I don't believe it's supported in macOS yet (and I don't know if it ever will be - fingers crossed though). However, I still bought this card, because I found one for a good price here in the UK, and the next model up - the 6700XT - was nearly twice the price. Thankfully, I have more than two inputs on my LG monitor, so I've disabled my 6600XT in macOS with the -wegnoegpu WEG boot-arg. This has let me use my Intel UHD 630 iGPU when I'm in macOS, with the AMD 6600XT working perfectly when I'm in Windows, and my Linux Distros. I just have to remember to switch to the HDMI2 input on my monitor when I want to use macOS 🙂 Edited August 17, 2021 by pbryanw minor edits 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/348725-pre-release-macos-monterey/page/42/#findComment-2764829 Share on other sites

Clover and OC should both be able to do this, if you don't know how it is done, then you can ask in Clover or OC thread here on insanelymac. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/348725-pre-release-macos-monterey/page/42/#findComment-2764837 Share on other sites

I agree the 6800XT working OOB since it is supposedly coming up for the Mac Pro, but other cards are the usual “hit and miss” - assuming there are no internal changes on the RDNA2 tech as previous generations used to and broke similar cards (300 and 400 series IIRC). 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/348725-pre-release-macos-monterey/page/42/#findComment-2764907 Share on other sites

But as a work around, Im running the web version of outlook as an Edge App. Part of my is happy that its fast and more features, and part of me is upset its a web app. Only real downfall is I have to run my personal email in mail now. (can't have separate mailboxes ce on the web app). 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/348725-pre-release-macos-monterey/page/42/#findComment-2765121 Share on other sites

I tried an old trick, with success: to rename the Windows volume (after booting Windows) adding a prefixing dot to the volume name - meaning yours would be ".Windows 11 Pro". Doesn't look nice on Windows, but it immediately got rid of the Windows volume on any following macOS restarts - no changes to the finder preferences, no edits to files, no commands required: "It just works" - Howard, Todd.
