Time to reinstall :)

Cant boot to it. Cant rename the drive either.

So Apple Monterey dont like the Binary kext patch

Remember Monterey accept only Apple Kext on the System for SnapShot

Anyway I made AppleIntelI210Ethernet.app

If you want you can change the kexts in Resources

The script is readable and Editable

I will try that after install.

Thank you very much for trying

I dont know if the bad reboot is from the kext or the App

make sure  csrutil authenticated-root disable (csr-active-config ➤ EF0F0000

before using the app then Reset NVRAM with OpenCore Icon before booting after installing thefile

No luck. I had to reinstall again.

Kext installed fine but after reboot, cleaning NVRAM, it won't boot.

It boots to recovery.

A user from the german hackintosh forum told me the reason that the kext is not working would be related to Vt-d and the DMAR table.

So I:

  • disabled the DisableIOMapper Quirk
  • Enabled Vt-d in BIOS

And tested again: not working

Next, I

  • dropped the original DMAR table
  • Injected a modified one (I deleted the Reserved Memory Region section)

Still no luck

Back to PCI LAN. On a positive side note: The Z490 Vision G can boot macOS with enabled Vt-D :D

Small correction in the script here

AppleIntelI210Ethernet.zip 2.64 MB · 1 download

Did you try to use a diferant IONetworkingFamily.kext from first beta of Monterey with

your AppleIntelI210Ethernet.kext inside plugins ?

I haven't tried that.

I guess I can put Beta8 AppleIntelI210Ethernet.kext plugin inside the latest IONetworkingFamily.kext and see what is going to happen.

So the kext is not accepted by Apple in macOS 12

So, there is no way to inject any Apple's kext from any earlier released version?

If that's the case, Apple's gone mad :)

Yes Apple kext only works but I dont know why your kext not work?

You can try this one

IONetworkingFamily.kext.zip

EDIT ***

If it still doesn't work, tell me and I will know how to install the kext, have only AppleIntelI210Ethernet.kext installed in the Plugins

What args do you use?

On B500 board card was always finicky. I could not get it to work with anything but the boot argument on Big Sur. Now on Monterey even the boot argument failed me. The kext is loaded correctly. It uses AppleIntelI210Ethernet.kext but there is no uplink no matter what I try (auto or 2.5Gb or 1GB speed).
