Hello everyone
I initially installed beta 1 on my signature PC, everything works except audio.
I installed beta 2 and the audio still doesn't work
My ALC892 sound card with the clover inject = 5 and it works, while with opencore it doesn't work I made several tests "-lilubetaall alcid = 5 keepsyms = 1" alcid = 1,2,3,4,5,7,9,28 , 92.99 does not work.
I have the latest Lilu and AppleALC
How can I solve the problem
Thank you

There shouldn't be any spaces between alcid=1, it shouldn't be alcid = 1

Check your settings for Coffee Lake (Z390) via Dortania guide on GitHub

For example, Z390 mobos need:

<key>ProtectUefiServices</key>
<true/>

@MorenoAv

What Platform-ID are you using?

Try these

UHD-630 IGPU = 0x3E910003 or 0x3E920003 or 0x3E980003 with  SysDef = 19,x if you are using a DGPU and trying to use iGPU in headless mode.

Else with only iGPU try 0x3E9B0000, see if this helps in resolving your HEVC issue.

Hi Chris1111,

Were you able to install on your HP probook, if so could you upload your OC efi folder from that.

What are you csractive nvram settings for pro book if you were able to install.

Thanks

"unable to check for update" Does anyone have an error like me ???

Since OS 11 is not public yet, I believe it is not served by Apple's standard update servers.  You need to install either the Developer Beta Access Utility or the Public Beta Access Utility to get updates working again.

Is that your ProBook? If so, could you share your EFI? Thanks

Please give me a clue on how you did this, as I'm really interested?

first: my big sur do not boot without this flag npci0x2000

secound:  in first stage of installation graphic do not detect therefore i use -igfxvesa flag

after installation i remove -igfxvesa then intel hd graphic 620 work fine

anyone know

why i need these flags npci0x2000 -igfxvesa

I get a download error saying that:

"Download failed - An error occurred while downloading the selected updates. Please check your internet connection and try again."

Apparently it is not an actual download error but rather some checks that is performed and fails so the download will fail.

I read someone saying that a solution is to enable full security on the macOS HDD/SSD via recovery partition:

  • boot into Recovery Mode

  • Utilities

  • Startup Security Utility

  • select Full Security

  • restart

Unfortunately I cannot boot into recovery partition, any suggestion on how I could solve this problem and get the update to download and install correctly via Software Update? Or is there another way such as downloading a DMG file of the update and install? Does Apple have that file publicly available, and if so can I please have a link?

Hi @manmo71,

Thanks for your answer and following your suggestion I changed to the first platform-id but at the moment I changed my SMBios to iMac Pro 1,1, and I lost graphic acceleration.

What I want to know is if it makes difference with other SMBIOS...
