Yeahhh I'm back and with news...

I have another ssd with macOS Catalina for testing aka backup, and I was ready to wipe my nvme m2 ssd and downgrade to 10.15.4 and the see if the update appeared, but instead I had macOS 10.15.5 in that ssd an I didn't install the supplemental and voila the 10.15.6 showed up.

All installed and working

Enjoy, @MorenoAv!

Yeah, if you have 10.15.5 without the supplemental update, that should work, too. I didn't have it, so I used whatever I could find. :) The idea is to not install the supplemental update.

The trick is Go to /System /Library /CoreServices copy SystemVersion.plist to desktop then change the version 19F101 for 19F96

make the Disk R/W change the SystemVersion.plist in CoreServices

Now Update Developper is showing

Now that's a lot easier! :))) I was checking that version today when installing 10.15.4 beta, but it didn't occur to me to change the build number on the existing installation... :))) Awesome trick.

Thank you!

Terminal type this two command one at the time then after you can change the SystemVersion.plist

sudo mount -uw /

killall Finder

For me it didn't work, yet... maybe because I didn't turn the disk R/W ?

For those interested in testing the new beta but cannot seem to pull the update, change the ProductBuldVersion from F101 to F96 in the following plist:

/System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist

Then run the updater again.

Hi,

Guys, Has the update been released for all?!!!

I don't get the update, if i change the plist version in 10.15.5 f101, I do get it in the software update pane and downloads fully, but on restart , no boot from macos install option and if i boot back into Catalina I get the update again in software update.

With no change in plist , no update found.

So what gives?

Any suggestions?
