I need some help with upgrading to Mojave.

I run the Mojave installer , it finishes the first stage and is asks me to restart.

But , there is no option on OC to boot from Installer , just the High Sierra partition.

After reboot I saw the installer files to be on the root of High Sierra and not on another partition/

I something wrong with my config?

Can someone take a look, please?

config.plist

A help here?

I also tried several options and Logo still appears bigger during the first part of the boot. i start to believe it might be related to the Gigabyte Bios. Most people who report this issue have GA Mobos.

X299 GA Gaming 7

7980Xe

Sapphire RX580 SE
64GB DDR4

Mojave & Catalina

OpenCore V005

No, the big Apple logo thing is not limited to Gigabyte.  I see the same thing happen with my Asus motherboard.

It's not a big deal to me though...

Hi guys,

Just curious, do you have all the power options correctly displayed in System Preferences -> Power? Cause I've got differences with the same SMBIOS between Clover and OpenCore.

Also, I haven't gone through the entire thread. Sorry if someone else already asked about this.

Hi guys,

i've performed a major upgrade from an old OpenCore version 0.2 to the new 0.4. While doing that i also upgraded most of my kexts (Lilu, whatervergreen etc).

After that i'm having a message while loading the MacOS :

Dependency com.apple.iokit.IOHIDSystem fallback to com.apple.iokit.IOHIDSystem succeded. Please fix your kext!

It appears while macos is loading on top of the Apple and the loading bar. The system is working as usual but i would like to fix it anyway.

Could someone please point me on the right direction ?

Thanks

Mattia

Yes.  I also see fewer options.  Also, in System Preferences > Energy Saver, I no longer have the option keep system awake when monitor goes to sleep and I no longer have the option to enable/disable Power Nap.

I found the issue. Try this SSDT instead for your CPU PM. I was using another one ( based from Piker R. Alpha )

SSDT-PLUG.aml.zip ( Only has 3 Frequency Speed Steps )

Edit:  I decided not to switch from my actual CPU SSDT ( 7 frequency Speed steps ), less options in Energy Saver preferences do not bother me.

My laptop has a mutex object with non-zero sync level. Clover had the DSDT/Fix. I don't think OpenCore has a corresponding quirk if I'm not wrong. And I haven't seen anyone talk about mutex fixes in so long. Is it necessary to add an ACPI patch to assign zero?

Just had this bug now

On my haswell system if X86PlatformPlugin isn't loaded then I get more options in energy saver (power nap etc.).  If X86PlatformPlugin is loaded and CPU PM is working as it should, I have fewer options in energy saver.

Use gfxutil https://github.com/acidanthera/gfxutil/releases and find your igpu

usage: /"gfxutil folder"/gfxutil -f IGPU

add path into DeviceProperties/Add and after declare device-id

You can see other info here https://github.com/acidanthera/WhateverGreen/blob/master/Manual/FAQ.IntelHD.en.md
