The guide is so well put together as well, it made my life so much easier. I actually had this sleep issue before over clocking as well which is what makes my head hurt lol. I can’t seem to figure it out but I’ll go ahead and do the following when I get home. - update ssd firmware if available - reset bio settings and set them again - copy EFI over again , which I haven’t changed anything tbh Hopefully it’s something I missed on my part but I’m afraid it won’t be as I was extremely thorough when setting it up. Stuck at password entering is likely related to user account corruption. Can be related to NVME drive. USB stops working after sleeps: Try patch the USB port by yourself. If you're using the exact board and revision then the EFI folder should work fine for you without any problem. Try reflash your motherboard bios too. So last night after going through the combination of resetting the bios and setting it up exactly as in the guide, I flashed my bios to F9, replaced the EFI , I am still encountering the freeze issue after wake from sleep. I highly doubt it’s a usb issue as the keyboard still lights up. Also the cursor blinker in the password input field is not blinking. Nothing reacts when I press anything. I am am really hoping it’s not the NVME drive but what else could be causing this? Do you have another basic keyboard to test with ? In the past I had trouble using Corsair K65 lux rgb and resolved issue using Mac driver for Corsair keyboard driver on github. I don’t think I did but I’m currently using the Corsair k55 RGB and the Magic Mouse. This keyboard does not have a secondary usb but I went and bought a basic keyboard to test it out. Interesting fact is that the mouse isn’t responsive either after wake from sleep so I plug in a basic usb mouse to see if that works but no luck. AntoineWill
Hello, First of all thanks a lot for this big tutorial ! however, I got a "big" issue. Everything was fine, I was at the end (on macOS, etc) and I have installed the wifi card. The wifi card work, I was able to use my magic keyboard & mouse. I start to follow the steps to be able to use iMessage. After updated the list with Clover Configurator I rebooted my hackintosh and now it's stuck everytime at : "apfs_module_start:1393: load: com.apple.filesystems.apfs, v945.260.7, apfs-945.260.7, 2019/04/26 I saw online that the bios for the motherboard should be an issue. But I tried with the F7, F8 and F9 ! Nothing works... I setup and setup again de bios as mentioned in the topic just to be sure. I also try to reset the list to the one that work just before (I made a copy). Still the same. I confirm that I can boot for my original boot drive with the clover install and go to my macOS session. But I can't boot from my main drive now... Please, if any help, it would be awesome Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/337837-glasgoods-macos-mojave-successguide-for-aorus-z390-pro/page/32/#findComment-2679970 Share on other sites

Im just curious if it works since i currently do not have internet connection to my hackintosh yet, wifi card takes too long to arrive. In my About My Mac, it only shows iMac and not specific such as early 2019 etc. Is it fine or do i need to do something with it? Sceme29
Some new found information regarding my sleep @glasgood, I decided to try your "AORUS Z390 MOTHERBOARD X – EFI WITH NO USB SSDT, WITH PORTS LIMIT PATCH, WITH SSDT-GPRW SLEEP / WAKE FIX" and it turns out to actually fix my sleep issue! I can finally say i have a perfect running Hackintosh. I have also have it overclocked to 4.9ghz and its running extremely well. Thank you for creating this great guide and always helping out those who seek it. I really appreciate it. Restart and adjust bios or I use it as a last resort USB flash efi. 3 - I have a problem with shutdown too I have been running for weeks on the Internet for a solution and try almost everything and naturally things get worse.. If I would have even paid for the help Okay, this board sounds very familiar. Just kidding. I had the exact motherboard and has successfully used Glasgood EFI folder for it. First: Use Glasgood install EFI, do not use the post installation EFI because his configuration is for Z390 Aorus Pro which has completely different devices and board layout. Second: If you cannot open a photo file using preview or quick view, I assume it's a JPEG photo. That means your iGPU doesn't work properly. You will need to enter the right device info in the Device properties. Search this post, you will see the right device ID for 9700K / 9900K iGPU and where to put that. Glasgood is using a 8700K in his guide, so the iGPU device ID is different from 9700K. The install EFI uses a lot of universal patches on the fly that may break in the future Mac OS update, but it works for a lot of the Z390 boards. Third: Problem with shutdown means ACPI settings are wrong. Try Glasgood install EFI and it should work perfectly. Keep us posted if you're still having problems after try my method. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/337837-glasgoods-macos-mojave-successguide-for-aorus-z390-pro/page/32/#findComment-2680066 Share on other sites
