First of all I want to say THANK YOU A LOT to Daniel (MaLd0n) da Insanely Mac (esse cara é um gênio), Giesteira Paulo, Samuel Cabral e Lucas David do Hackintosh Brasil.

GeekBench CPU Result:

THIS IS ONLY FOR THIS MOTHERBOARD:

Gigabyte z270X Aorus Gaming 5

IT WILL NOT WORK IN ANY OTHER MOTHER BOARD!!!

DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

MOBO: z270X Aoros Gigabyte Gaming 5

PROC: i7 7700k + Cooler Master Hyper X212

GPU: MSI GTX 1070 8GB DDR5

So, this is what we did:

1 - Download this archive, you gonna use it during all the install.

z270x - i7700k - GTX 1070 - MacOS.zip

2 - Get a Sierra 10.12 image.

3 - Create a boot pendrive with WinDiskImage.

4 - Go to EFI partition on the pendrive, replace the “CLOVER” folder for the one inside the "Pendrive Boot Clover folder" from the archive on the step 1. Delete the original one and replace with the one inside the archive from step 1.

5 - Go to your bios and set these options (*really important ones):

- Bios

First boot - Pendrive *

Fast boot - disabled *

Windows 8/10 features - other os *

Lan pxe boot option ROM - disabled

Storage boot control - UEFI *

Other PCI devices - UEFI

6 - Boot your pendrive and on the Clover boot screen choose the option "Boot Mac OS Install MacOS".

7 - In the first screen choose the language and than at the top menu open the application DISK UTILITY.

8 - Select the HD where you gonna install the OS and click on ERASE button. Use these options:

- Name: Any name you want

- Format: Mac OS Extended (Journaled)

- Scheme: GUID

9 - Click on erase and wait for the formating.

10 - Close the disk utility and back to the install follow the steps, select the HD you already formated and perform the install.

11 - After the install, DON'T remove the pendrive yet. You need it to boot the system for now. Boot from pendrive and now on the Clover boot screen choose the HD you already installed the system, "Boot from MacOS".

12 - Now you have the system on, install the latest version of Clover boot (the install pkg is inside the archive from step 1). At the “INSTALLATION TYPE” screen, click on the “CUSTOMIZE” button and check the boxes only for these options:

- Install for UEFI Boot Only

- Install Clover in the ESP

- Bootloader -> Don’t update MBR and PBR Sectors

- Themes (any you want)

- Drivers64UEFI -> Fat-64

- Drivers64UEFI -> PartitionDxe-64

- Install Clover Preference Pane (optional)

13 - Click on install and finish the installation. Now you can remove your Boot Pendrive.

14 - Open the Clover Configurator and goes to the “MOUNT EFI”. At the right column theres a “EFI Partitions” box with all the EFI partitions. Look for the one of the mac and click on “MOUNT PARTITION” and then click on “OPEN PARTITION”.

15 - Inside the folder EFI there’s a folder called “CLOVER”. Repleace this folder with the one inside the “System Boot Clover Folder” which you can find in the archives you downloaded at the step 1. Just delete the original one on EFI partition and paste the other one in the same place.

16 - Run the Olarila.command inside the archives of the step 1 and wait for the “completed” message.

17 - Restart the system WITHOUT the boot pendrive. Go to the BIOS Settings and change the first option boot to the HD where u installed the MacOS. Save and reboot.

18 - Download this DMG and install the update from 10.12 to 10.12.4. THIS IS IMPORTANT! THE NVIDIA 10xx VIDEO CARD SERIES ONLY WORKS ON THIS OS VERSION!

https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1910?locale=en_US

19 - Now the last step, install NVidia Driver. Download the latest version of the NVidia Web Driver and install it.

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/312525-nvidia-web-driver-updates-for-macos-sierra-update-04192017/(choose the latest version for your system - 10.12.4 in this case).

20 - Download and install NVidia Cuda Drivers:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/mac-driver-archive.html

YOU ARE READY TO GO!!!

Thanks for your guide. Regarding the uploaded archive on mega.nz: I would recommend creating at least on other mirror that is not a one-click-hoster (preferably dropbox/google drive), since those hosters delete files after a certain time of inactivity, or randomly get closed down.

If the archive isn't too big, you can also attach it to your post. Or at least the smaller files.

Thank you very much for the guide!

I had to change a few things up for me, as it seems like my Pendrive that I was using to create the boot wasnt working properly (I was using a 64gb one, if that makes a difference). So I skipped the Boot Pendrive steps entirely.

What I did instead, is use another mac to install Sierra 10.12 directly onto the HD via USB. Then I installed the given Clover install onto the HD, and copied the given folder for "System". After that, I changed the Bios settings on the hackintosh, and booted it up through the HD and followed the steps to update it etc.

Works perfectly for me, however 4k does not seem to be working. I can get the hackintosh to run at home with my 144hz 1080p monitor via DVI, as well as my 1080p monitor via HDMI. However, when I bring it over to my studio, we have a 4k 60hz tv as the main display, and nothing seems to be working. I get the black screen, as if it isnt recognizing either the GPU or the display it self. I was able to plug in another monitor, and then plugin the 4k TV as a secondary and it seemed to work (however, only at 1080p as that is what my other display was, and it only works in mirror mode). Which leads me to believe it has something to do with the 4k. I have an HDMI 2.0 cable, and it didnt work through that (black screen on startup). I tried a HDMI to DP 1.2 adapter, still same thing. Next i will be trying a different HDMI to DP1.2 adapter that has been known to work with 4k for others. We will see how that goes, and if anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I do realize that it appears that mac does not natively have support for HDMI 2.0, but some have gotten it to work with the HDMI to DP1.2 adapter, the one in particular is the one from Club3D.

Success with the Club3D HDMI to DP1.2!! If anyone is having issues getting 4k, thats the one to get. Everything now seems to be working perfectly. Thank you :).

Can you tell me if you got 10bits output with this DP1.2 cable?

To boot windows via Clover, try to re-enable the windows feature in your bios (where you changed by other OS). It worked for me and I am still able to boot to Sierra.

It cost nothing, give it a try :)

Can help me to fix some issues?

This is my PC:
    1. Cpu core i5 7600k

    2. Ram 16gb.

    3. Mainboard Gigabyte Aorus Z270x Gaming 5 (same your mainboard)

    4. SSD Plexton 128gb

    5. GPU: I use on-board gpu in first. I will buy rx580 later.

    6. PSU: Seasonic S12II 620W bronze
I followed your step and installed successful Sierra. But I have 2 issues:

1. My graphic card only show graphic 7 mb

2. The sound is very low. I config max volume but it's very low.

My system information show in PCI tab: Realtek ALC1220 Audio Controller: driver installed YES.

This is my first time I install hackintosh. Please help me to fix it.

Thank you so much.

For video editing/colorgrading and correction you need a dedicated monitor card something like the blackmagic design intensity pro or the blackmagic design intensity pro 4k or if you get the the ga alpine ridge pcie to thunderbolt add in card and the minimonotor and recorder external thunderbolt cards. Just using the graphicscard or the onboard graphics will not work very good.

If you want to watch movies or to game with your rig well thats another story.

      Hi guys,

So, this little tutorial is meant to help people fix a new issue with Mojave: opening jpg files (looks like it happens with larger files, not so much with smaller ones) using Quick Look (on spacebar key pressed) or Preview app using the dedicated GPUs.
The issue is that, when trying to open jpg files (for some reason, it doesn't occur with pngs), the pop-up window would remain in an endless loop. And from that point forward, any other app trying to open the same file, will either become unresponsive (in the case of the Preview app) or just stay in endless loop (in case of Quick Look)

As a workaround, in case the tutorial below doesn't work for you, you can use Grab (built-in app in MacOS) to open said files.

This issues DOES NOT occur using the iGPU. So...if you're comfortable using the iGPU, just switch to that and you should be good to go. You don't need this tutorial.

This tutorial is based on @Cyberdevs' research and testing on this topic (especially useful if you're using an RX series AMD video card), and my own very limited time testing this on my rig. I just thought it would be useful to create a new thread for it so that people can discuss this particular issue here.

The main thing we need to do is actually very simple: we need to enable the iGPU (integrated GPU) by default, in BIOS, while actually being connected to the dedicated GPU.

With that being said, I'll just move on to the actual tutorial.

      New (probably better) method.

Switch your SMBIOS in Clover config in regards to the dedicated GPU you're using, instead of the CPU. Take a look here and choose the corresponding SMBIOS closest to your hardware.
      Yeah, that's it.

In case you lose CPU PM with this method, there are multiple ways to fix that, and they do not make the object of this thread.  It worked perfectly fine for me though and I didn't need to change anything else.

In case you wanna try alternative medicine  ...

For ATI GPUs (curtesy of @Cyberdevs' post here).

The discreet GPU should be set as primary in BIOS and your displays should be connected to your discreet GPU
The iGD/iGPU/iGFX must be enabled in BIOS/UEFI as the secondary GPU.

I removed the DSDT Reconfigured the config.plist to and removed some flags which weren't needed because of the DSDT added the InjectATI + Ornioco Framebuffer (I removed the Orinoco framebuffer because of some weird glitches but it might be useful for other AMD GPUs if you inject the correct framebuffer according to your GPU. No need to inject anything for nVidia GPUs unless your GPU needs it) Added the InjectIntel + ig-platform-id for my intel HD530 (for intel HD 530 I use the 0x19120001 ig-platform-id) Removed com.apple.finder.plist Removed com.apple.QuickLookDaemon.plist rebuild the kextcache and reset the nvram
Steps 5 to 7 might not be necessary I just did them anyway, if anyone succeeded to get quicklook working without those steps let me know so I can exclude those steps.

Also confirmed to work with AMD R9 270X on a SandyBridge rig (without an iGPU) using WhateverGreen + Lilu kexts, which also helped to solve the transparency issue along with the Quick Look problem, it also resolved the buggy Screen Capture (Command+Shift+5) issue as well.

          Also, do:
nvram cleanup kextcache & prelinked kernel rebuild reboot  More info on that here.

      For NVIDIA GPUs

This is what I needed for my NVIDIA rig and the MSI motherboard in the signature. Your milage may vary, depending on your hardware. But, the idea should be the same regardless.

For MSi motherboads (check out my motherboard details in the signature)

Set your BIOS to use PEG (dedicated GPU) so you can boot.
Since you're reading this, chances are that you're already connected to the dedicated GPU and the BIOS is set to PEG. So just go into BIOS and see if you're using the iGPU or the dedicated (PEG) graphics device by default.
If you're already using this, skip to Step 3 (the part AFTER Reboot). Reboot (I think you don't necessarily need to boot into the OS...but you do need to reboot at least until Clover UI) Reboot back into BIOS and set it from PEG to IGD (integrated graphics) WITHOUT removing the cable. Save Reboot again.
The result should be that the OS is tricked into thinking you're booting with the IGPU when in fact you're using the dedicated GPU.

         For Gigabyte motherboards

         Set:
Peripherals -> Initial Display Output -> iGFX Chipset -> Internal Graphics -> Enabled
           DVMT Pre-Allocation -> default 64M.
DVMT Total Gfx Mem -> default 256M Save Reboot
You should do this with the cable connected to the dedicated GPU.

You will also need to patch the iGPU from Clover config.
      1. Graphics -> Inject Intel (UNCHECK Inject Nvidia or ATI if it's checked).
      2. ig-platform-id (in my case for Intel HD 4600 Desktop) it was: 0x0d220003

And use IntelGraphicsFixup.kext in Clover/kexts/Other. In my particular case, without the kext, I would get freezes in Safari.

This might be a bug with Mojave and it could be fixed by Apple in the future. but in the meantime, feel free to use this if it helps you fix the issue.

For HP motherboards (including laptops), so far no solution, unless the BIOS somehow allows to switch from eGPU to iGPU and vice-versa.

      Cheers!
