  2. Greetings! I've been wrestling with this build for about a week now and have it near golden, but I am struggling with the Nvidia graphics card; I purchased the GeForce Gtx 1060 6GB SSC because is was recommended as the go-to card by the TonyMacx86 community on all of their Customac builds, but there doesn't seem to be much support for the card itself. I understand that Nvidia web drivers are relatively new and come with their own issues but I am reaching out to see if anyone has managed to squash these bugs. Delete the original one and replace with the one inside the archive from step 1. 5 - Go to your bios and set these options (*really important ones): - Bios First boot - Pendrive * Fast boot - disabled * Windows 8/10 features - other os * Lan pxe boot option ROM - disabled Storage boot control - UEFI * Other PCI devices - UEFI - Peripherals Onboard lan Controller - enabled Intel platform thrust technology ptt - disabled * SW guard extension - software controlled USB 3.0 dac-up 2 - normal Front USB 3.0_1 - normal Intel bios guard technology - disabled * - Peripherals - USB configuration Legacy USB support - enabled * Xhci hand off - enabled * USB mass storage driver support - enabled - Peripherals - Sata and RST configuration Sata controllers - enabled Sata mode selection - AHCI * Aggressive LPM support - enabled - Chipset VT-d - disabled * Internal graphics - auto All the other options - enabled - Power Platform Power management - disabled * Ac back - always off Power on by keyboard - disabled Power on by mouse - disabled Erp - disabled Soft off by power button - instant off Power loading - auto Resume by alarm - disabled Rc6 render standby - enabled 6 - Boot your pendrive and on the Clover boot screen choose the option "Boot Mac OS Install MacOS". 7 - In the first screen choose the language and than at the top menu open the application DISK UTILITY. 8 - Select the HD where you gonna install the OS and click on ERASE button. Use these options: - Name: Any name you want - Format: Mac OS Extended (Journaled) - Scheme: GUID 9 - Click on erase and wait for the formating. 10 - Close the disk utility and back to the install follow the steps, select the HD you already formated and perform the install. 11 - After the install, DON'T remove the pendrive yet. You need it to boot the system for now. Boot from pendrive and now on the Clover boot screen choose the HD you already installed the system, "Boot from MacOS". 12 - Now you have the system on, install the latest version of Clover boot (the install pkg is inside the archive from step 1). At the “INSTALLATION TYPE” screen, click on the “CUSTOMIZE” button and check the boxes only for these options: - Install for UEFI Boot Only - Install Clover in the ESP - Bootloader -> Don’t update MBR and PBR Sectors - Themes (any you want) - Drivers64UEFI -> Fat-64 - Drivers64UEFI -> PartitionDxe-64 - Install Clover Preference Pane (optional) 13 - Click on install and finish the installation. Now you can remove your Boot Pendrive. 14 - Open the Clover Configurator and goes to the “MOUNT EFI”. At the right column theres a “EFI Partitions” box with all the EFI partitions. Look for the one of the mac and click on “MOUNT PARTITION” and then click on “OPEN PARTITION”. 15 - Inside the folder EFI there’s a folder called “CLOVER”. Repleace this folder with the one inside the “System Boot Clover Folder” which you can find in the archives you downloaded at the step 1. Just delete the original one on EFI partition and paste the other one in the same place. 16 - Run the Olarila.command inside the archives of the step 1 and wait for the “completed” message. 17 - Restart the system WITHOUT the boot pendrive. Go to the BIOS Settings and change the first option boot to the HD where u installed the MacOS. Save and reboot. 18 - Download this DMG and install the update from 10.12 to 10.12.4. THIS IS IMPORTANT! THE NVIDIA 10xx VIDEO CARD SERIES ONLY WORKS ON THIS OS VERSION! https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1910?locale=en_US 19 - Now the last step, install NVidia Driver. Download the latest version of the NVidia Web Driver and install it. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/312525-nvidia-web-driver-updates-for-macos-sierra-update-04192017/(choose the latest version for your system - 10.12.4 in this case). 20 - Download and install NVidia Cuda Drivers: http://www.nvidia.com/object/mac-driver-archive.html YOU ARE READY TO GO!!! Patches used by Daniel (MaLd0n) in the DSDT.aml: - FIX ERRORS AND WARNINGS - HPET - SATA - DTGP - DMAC - SLPB - DARWIN - LPC - XHCI - PLUGIN TYPE - HDAS to HDEF - HDEF - RTC - IRQs - SBUS - BUS1 - MCHC - ALS0 - SHUTDOWN - LAN - USBX - PMCR - EC - PNLF - HDMI NVIDIA / ATI What works: - Intel i7 7700k - OK - Intel HD Graphics 630 - OK - NVidia GTX Video Cards (with pascal, series 10xx) and Cuda Drivers - OK - Memory RAM - OK - Realtek ALC1220 Audio Controller - OK - All back panel audio ports (Internal speakers, 2 line outs, digital output) - OK - DisplayPort Audio output from NVidia GTX - THERE’s ONLY AUDIO THROUGH THE DISPLAYPORT, NO AUDIO THROUGH THE HDMI. But you can easily use a DP - HDMI cable. - Intel PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller RJ45 Port - OK - Qualcomm Atheros Killer E2500 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller RJ45 Port - OK - All USB Ports, including 3.0 USB - OK - System Power Settings - OK - All the hard drives from my computer, including the ones formmated for windows working - OK (of course the ones formmated on windows, only for read, no write) What doesn’t work: - Boot windows from Clover Boot Screen. But you can use the F12 key to go to BIOS Boot Screen and select the Windows HD to boot. It’s fine - Front panel audio ports So, resuming the system is working PERFECT! Like a charm! Everything works and the machine is CRAZY fast now! Hope it goes fine for everyone too. Cya! SCREENSHOTS:
  6. Hi, I have built my Hackintosh in 2012 succesfully with MountainLion 10.8.6 I used two monitors with GTX-650 ti ( HDMI & DVI ) with no problem. Now with the same Hackintosh I moved to El Capitan 10.11.6 ( Clean Install / Clover ) The install and Post Instalation went OK , but when I restart and tried to boot I got REBOOT LOOPS all the time, It was very frustrating.. After a lot research and trial & error , I finally got it work ( No reboot Loops anymore ) by Enabling Nvidia Eject ( something like Graphics Enabler=YES) I finally managed to boot normaly to El Capitan. BUT now, I cannot use both monitors. The only port that works now is the DVI port . I have also downloadd latest CUDA ( not web drivers ) but with no luck . If I remove the EjectNvidia option I know that both monitors gonna work , but then Im gonna have reboot loops again Is there any other alternative solution to make both monitors work ? Mobo:Z77X-UD5H CPU:Intel Core i7-3770K Graphics:GeForce GTX 650 Ti I finally found the solution ! I managed to find and install the correct Web drivers for invidia 6xx series for El capitan . Then I dissabled the Inject nvidia , and boom ! I have both monitors and NO reboot loops . Also in About rhis Mac panel , the graphics card is apearing in the correct way ( GTX 640 ti 2000 mb) When I first build the Hackintosh in mountain lion, NO drivers were needed - ONLY CUDA BUT now with El Capitan, the WEB Nvidia Drivers are essential .

  11. I have seen successful installation of El Capitan on z170x g7 with skylake but I cannot manage to setup final my hackintosh after fresh installation of El Capitan. My build: Gigabyte Z170X Gaming G1, Socket 1151 Bios F6 GTX Titan X 12 gb 64gb Geil Dragon Ram (16gbx4) i7-6700k 4.0 ghz Skylake 3TB Seagate Sata Accomplishments: Configured the bios to make El Capitan USB Installer bootable from scratch. Able to create bootable usb using Clover Patch kext but I don't know which ones are important and/or necessary Able to boot from the HD with El Capitan with usb Working Audio Working USB, 3.0 not checked Bluetooth works Problems: Display is showing but in lowest resolution (so slow) Wifi not working I have no proper DSDT, AML for my mobo. Don't know which set of kexts would be appropriate and necessary. Anyone, please help. Attachment of their dsdt and kexts for the same would be appreciated. I'm just an average user of hackintosh. Please give me a guide, thanks. Note: I have successfully installed El Capitan in my old build: Gigabyte EP35-DS3R, QuadCore 775 Intel 2.5ghz, 8gb ram, 80gb seagate, msi 9600gt with no problems and all are working.
  12. Hi, I've just got a iAtkos El Capitan image according with my hardware. I've installed it and it works, but I can't get Graphics Acceleration working. I've tried to disable the integrated graphic (Intel HD graphics 4600). I've also tried to install NVIDIA drivers for mac, but it still doesn't work. So, guys, do you have any idea about this? Thanks. PD: I'm a bit n00b in this area
  13. Hi, EDIT: to avoid reading several pages and in the hope of a guru to help out , the basic problem seems to be that the LCD with 120hz/3D screen is connected to the internal display port DP-2 which is not recognised alone by OS X. Once booted from a vga monitor everything is perfect, 120hz and full QE/CI acceleration. Ubuntu can start without any problems. EDID and other injected strings have not made any difference so far. i have an Asus laptop G750 with GTX 770m card and 3D screen cannot get Mavericks 10.9 to boot without removing nvdaresman or using -x (no drivers) i can however boot with a 1080p dell monitor in the vga port and it will start and then fire up the laptop screen at the login prompt. full res and accelleration on both. i can then disconnect the dell monitor and carry on running. i can "detect displays" and it will now show only the 1 lcd attached. even after sleep i still have full graphics. the internal lcd is a Samsung 3D (was it blocked by apple deliberately????) however, i still cannot boot the laptop without the vga monitor. (the intel onboard graphics are not internally connected so thats not an option) the EDID setings are as per http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/208410-fixing-scrambledstretched-or-wrong-resolution-laptop-display-problems/ the lcd screen is now correctly recognised by name and number but only after its booted with the vga monitor attached. i am looking for clues here as to what i can do next... EDIT: just noticed that my problems seem to be related to (mine is 7 series but also kepler) http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/284767-anyone-mobile-kepler-6xxm-working/
  14. Hi everyone, I recently assembled my new pc composed by: - MSI H97 gaming 3 - Intel i5 4690 @ 3,5 gHz - Samsung 850 evo 256GB - WD Caviar Green 1TB - Galax GTX 970 Black Edition 4GB I would be happy to install mac os on it, i need it. Before I buy it on the net they told me it could be compatible(-.-). I tried to install Yosemite and also El capitan. The bios settings should be correct, to boot installation I used these flags in many different combos: -v -x -f nv_enabler=1 npci=0x2000 GraphicsMode=Yes GraphicsMode=No PCIRootUID=0 PCIRootUID=1 maxmem=4096 cpus=1 Results: -Yosemite "Clean"(with Clover) - It gives me "misssing bluetooth controller" error and then freeze -Yosemite-Zone.dmg - After a lot of tries, it starts installation, but after 2 minutes (11 to finish) they crash with "Essential.pkg" error. -El Capitan(with clover) - When I boot usb pen it starts Windows, bios try to boot, but after skip the pen. Tried in UEFI and in legacy. I'm desperated, I don't know what I have to try! Someone can help me? Sorry for my easy english and thanks for the time.
  15. Newb here, but here we go, need some help from guys who know what they are doing. Trying to install El Capitan on my first ever "Hackintosh" Specs are: ASUS Maximus VII Formula Z97, Intel Core i7-4790k, 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws RAM, MSI Lightning GTX 770 2GB, 1050 Watt EVGA GS PSU, NZXT H440 Case I have made a USB Drive with Terminal (createinstallmedia) of El Capitan on an 8GB Flash Drive which was SUCCESSFUL. I am prepared to install Clover Bootloader but am overwhelmed by the options. Can anyone give me any advice on what options to select under "Customize" for my specific build? I heard I need a DSDT.aml file? How do I make one of those for my build? Also, based on my specs, what kexts and Boot Args would you guys recommend to help me get to the installer and post install? Thanks for the consideration.
  16. Hi Everyone , I just put my new GTX 970 in my macpro early 2008 today ! Everything is working (my 3 screens via DVI (2X) and display port (1X). I downloaded the latest webdriver and CUDA drivers. BUT , When i run for exemple the cinebench test from MAXON I only have 35 FPS, which is my previous score with my ATI Radeon 5870 1G memory... I saw a guy making the test on youtube he has 114 FPS !!! I also tested premiere with CUDA but I didn't notice any gain in the workflows or on the effects CUDA is supposed to accelerate. Same in adobe media Encoder , I did rendering with my old ATI : 25 Minutes and with the new gtx : 24:30 ??? Does someone have an idea about that or do I miss something ? I saw some people playing with <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>nvda_drv=1</string> and things like this ??? but I didn't need that for the card to work... Anyway, thank you very much to anyone with help because for now I'm very disappointed with my new GTX . Robin

Spinning beachball instead of login R9 390x

Hey forum geniuses, I'm having trouble getting my new installation of Yosemite to run correctly. First, some specs for you: MOBO: Gigabyte 970A-D3 FD CPU: AMD FX 6300 GPU: MSI R9 390x HDD: Sandisk 128GB SSD YosemiteZone 10.10.1 Distro The issue that I'm having is that after I installed Yosemite, which only required bootflags /amd64 and npci=0x3000, I'm unable to get to the login screen. The computer boots up fine, so there are no reported errors when using verbose boot. However, after the boot screen passes and I should get to the login screen, I get to a gray screen where the cursor becomes the beach-ball of death. Booting with -x allows login, but lacks any sort of graphics acceleration, so it takes a while to be able to do so. While I am not exactly sure as to what the cause is, I'm guessing it is related to my new R9 390x, as I had a previously functioning Yosemite build back when I had a GTX 760 and never encountered this issue with all other parts being the same. Perhaps it's as simple as loading the proper drivers, but I'm not familiar with what is required for an AMD graphics card. Any helpful advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    GTX 660 Issue (Yosemite 10.10.2)

Hi. I've downloaded the latest version of the Nvidia Quadro driver for my Nvidia GTX 660. It's working fine except: -The font is "pixeld" (low quality). -When I play any game, the brightness is so low and my FPS is useless. This has been working before like a charm. Got no idea what 2 do. Any tips? Cheers.

Hi! I have a problem with my MB that forces me to use the PCIe 8x port instead of the 16x. It works fine but I'm not sure if it is performing as it should. NVidia GTX 970 panic on shutdown

    Hello everyone, I'm now working on my first (and somewhat accidental) Hackintosh. I just built my first PC and couldn't get along with Linux, so decided to try and install Mac OS X. So far, almost everything is working great, I have but one problem: Shutdown (or reboot) is rather abrupt and when I log back in, I get the message that my "Mac restarted because of a problem". The error report (see below) mentions a kernel panic. Although it is relatively minor inconvenience, this abrupt shutdown can't be good. I already had one really bad HFS+ corruption (but this could also be because of the Paragon HFS-drivers on the Windows side...). Error report: *** Panic Report *** panic(cpu 1 caller 0xffffff800041e80a): Kernel trap at 0xffffff7f80fa158f, type 14=page fault, registers: CR0: 0x0000000080010033, CR2: 0x0000000000000020, CR3: 0x00000001f3f42033, CR4: 0x00000000001626e0 RAX: 0x0000000000000000, RBX: 0x0000000000000000, RCX: 0x0000000000000000, RDX: 0x0000000000000000 RSP: 0xffffff811026bb90, RBP: 0xffffff811026bba0, RSI: 0x000000000000000e, RDI: 0x0000000000000000 R8: 0x0000000000000027, R9: 0xffffff801904926b, R10: 0x000000000000000c, R11: 0x0000000000000017 R12: 0xffffff8000b10688, R13: 0xffffff801916f800, R14: 0xffffff801916f800, R15: 0xffffff801916a800 RFL: 0x0000000000010246, RIP: 0xffffff7f80fa158f, CS: 0x0000000000000008, SS: 0x0000000000000010 Fault CR2: 0x0000000000000020, Error code: 0x0000000000000000, Fault CPU: 0x1 Backtrace (CPU 1), Frame : Return Address 0xffffff811026b840 : 0xffffff800033a811 0xffffff811026b8c0 : 0xffffff800041e80a 0xffffff811026ba80 : 0xffffff800043a443 0xffffff811026baa0 : 0xffffff7f80fa158f 0xffffff811026bba0 : 0xffffff7f80f4d505 0xffffff811026bbe0 : 0xffffff7f80eff8d0 0xffffff811026bc70 : 0xffffff7f80ef78ac 0xffffff811026bcb0 : 0xffffff7f80f4e164 0xffffff811026bd00 : 0xffffff80008b85b1 0xffffff811026bd50 : 0xffffff80008ff0b5 0xffffff811026bdc0 : 0xffffff80003ea95e 0xffffff811026be10 : 0xffffff800033e91c 0xffffff811026be40 : 0xffffff80003235a3 0xffffff811026be90 : 0xffffff8000333e8d 0xffffff811026bf10 : 0xffffff800040a142 0xffffff811026bfb0 : 0xffffff800043ac66 Kernel Extensions in backtrace: com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily(2.4.1)[6D99A3BE-D531-3780-880B-13F2FC894A4A]@0xffffff7f80eed000->0xffffff7f80f33fff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.9)[766FC23F-452C-3B74-951C-598BB17BCF06]@0xffffff7f80b24000 com.apple.nvidia.driver.NVDAResman(10.0)[53CC0E05-7382-336C-8239-AE884D6CA71A]@0xffffff7f80f4a000->0xffffff7f811cafff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.9)[766FC23F-452C-3B74-951C-598BB17BCF06]@0xffffff7f80b24000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IONDRVSupport(2.4.1)[F4738C55-B507-3627-A9CA-3D29A5230A03]@0xffffff7f80f34000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily(2.4.1)[6D99A3BE-D531-3780-880B-13F2FC894A4A]@0xffffff7f80eed000 dependency: com.apple.AppleGraphicsDeviceControl(3.7.21)[4700601D-3FEB-3B86-B2BA-8D71AF84D1C4]@0xffffff7f80f44000 BSD process name corresponding to current thread: WindowServer Boot args: slide=0 dart=0 nvda_drv=1 kext-dev-mode=1 Mac OS version: 14A389 Kernel version: Darwin Kernel Version 14.0.0: Fri Sep 19 00:26:44 PDT 2014; Please tell me what other information I would need to post, or what steps I could take to diagnose the problem myself. Thanks!

    GTX 760 3mb VRAM?

I was hoping someone could help me out with an issue. I've got Yosemite running fine on my PC now, however the graphics are quite bad. There's extremely slow redraw, and sub HD resolution. About this Mac was listing my card(ASUS GTX 760 2GB) as having only 3mb VRAM. I've tried using GraphicsEnabler as a flag, as well as nvda_drv=1, I've installed the CUDA drivers, as well as the Retail drivers, which I'll include a link to at the end. Still, nothing has changed, except About this Mac now lists a GTX 760 with 0mb of VRAM. This is the last step to me getting my Hackintosh running beautifully. Help is appreciated. Specs if needed: CPU: AMD FX-6300 MoBo: Gigabyte 970A-D3 FD Graphics: ASUS GTX 760 2GB Installed on a Sandisk SSD Dual-booted with Windows Link to drivers: http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/80070/en-us

    Post-Login Hangup

While embarking on this Hackintosh adventure, I've tried to resolve everything myself, but I've hit a serious wall here. For starters, my setup is: CPU: AMD FX-6300 MoBo: Gigabyte 970A-D3 FD Graphics: ASUS GTX 760 Installed on a Sandisk SSD Dual-booted with Windows YosemiteZone distro So, I'm installed, and I can boot up just fine as long as I run my "npci=0x3000" and "PCIRootUID=0" boot flgas. My current issue is that after I type my password in, I am greeted by a neverending spinning beachball. To provide some background on what I think to be the cause, after getting YosemiteZone, I ran Mult. ibeast to get all my drivers and what not set up. I went for DSDT free, and installed my sound and network driver to start. At this point i could still boot, and so I once again went through Mult .ibeastand installed some other fixes such as enabling TRIM, and "1080p Display Mode", which I think to be the culprit. It was obvious that OS X was not taking advantage of my GTX, as large changes in visuals would slowly appear through a sequence of bars. Now, I can't get past the login screen. Some help would be greatly appreciated, as I've reached the end of my Mac knowhow. I tried Cmd+L, to hopefully bring up a log of what is the cause of this hangup, but I suppose that isn't possible before login. Thanks.

No CUDA on Yosemite with GTX580

I have Yosemite booting and running fine, but I've noticed that my GTX580 card is no longer being recognized as a CUDA capable card. If I launch CUDA-Z it says not CUDA Hardware found, and the same with Adobe apps. CUDA use to work under 10.8. What's changed that's preventing it from working now? Is there any way I can re-enable it to function? Does anyone have CUDA working on other nvidia gfx cards?
