Blasterix
can we update hackintosh directly from appstore?
mnfesq
can we update hackintosh directly from appstore? If you use the Clover or Chameleon boot loader, the answer is YES most of the time. But if you keep customized kexts in S/L/E that are needed to keep OS X from having a KP, then be careful because you cannot reinstall those customized kexts before your computer reboots when upgrading from the App Store. In those cases, you are better off getting the standalone update (either combo or delta.) Then reinstall your customized kexts after installation but before rebooting. tarasis
Update to 10.11.4 failed for me (though 10.11.1-3 went fine). I get a black screen with a white circle and a line diagonally through it. I'm using Clover 3333, updating from App Store -- edit Booting verbose, the error is coming from OsxAptioFixDrv. Apparently it "Couldn't allocate runtime area" --- edit 2 Deleting the OsxAptioFixDrv driver and replacing it with the version 2 worked.

virginiapatriot
The only problem here was with GTX 9xx and the web driver. After the upgrade it booted to a very low res with the built in driver. Updated the web driver from NVIDIA driver manager and had to patch again to get 4k at 60hz
