Here's a good guide to correct this vulnerability (manually updating bash) http://mac-how-to.wonderhowto.com/how-to/every-mac-is-vulnerable-shellshock-bash-exploit-heres-patch-os-x-0157606/

Tested in dp8, all ok now! ;)

...deserves to be pinned...right on the main page maybe... :smoke:

IDK if it does work in Yose (didn't try so far), but here is patched bash 4.3.26: http://tenfourfox.blogspot.com/2014/09/bashing-bash-one-more-time-updated.html More recent than 3.2.53.

Works on 10.8 and 10.9.

I'm assuming that if you got rid of the vulnerability by creating the 3.2.53 version of bash using Xcode, that you don't need to update to 4.3.26.  Is there a good reason to do so even if you don't have the vulnerability anymore?

...hi, sorry for buttin' in...I created the 3.2.53 version(Mavericks10.9.5)...still had to update to the 4.3.26 version to block the second vulnerability mentioned on the before mentioned site  http://tenfourfox.blogspot.com/2014/09/bashing-bash-one-more-time-updated.html ...now safe from those 2 problems at least... :smoke:

edit: updated to 4.3.27 version of bash to block a third vulnerability, added on the above mentioned link

I installed the GM but my {censored} didn't get bigger, what the hell

Also the link for the bash vulnerability fix posted above works just fine with 10.10. Not surprised Apple is holding off to fixing Yosemite until release time.

kext-dev-mode=1 flag is still working???

I've got a surplus of points. ;)

What does that even mean

No OpenGL bump and still bad gfx performance.

I'm more impressed today by the windows 10 preview than yosemite... that's saying something.

This is ugly. Just pure ugly.

Everything is fine here-GA-EP45-UD3LRQuadXeon e5430

1-Kext-dev-mode=1 work like champ again :hysterical:

2-Need only to rolback AppleHDA

Cheers for all Hackintosher's :thumbsup_anim:
