kizwan
To DANILOVEN, I attached here your IOPCCardFamily.kext kext file. You have different hardware but just try this kext file. Are you sure your hardware only have 3 memory ranges & 1 I/O ranges? DANILOVEN_IOPCCardFamily.kext.zip

aircool00
I am trying to get my PCI to PCMCIA card working correctly on my P5LD2 R 2.0 W/ Core 2 E6600 the PCI to PCMCIA is a Texas instruments PCI 1510 this one: http://siig.com/ViewProduct.aspx?pn=JJ-PC1M12-S1 I have a feeling it only works in Power macs... The only other Choice I have is to use the Ricoh chipset: I wasn't sure this one was working right thats why I went with the Texas instruments... http://siig.com/ViewProduct.aspx?pn=JJ-PC1012-S2 This one at least woks in Windows... I can use this.. I just dont want to be booting in and out of windows constantly I dont need the adapter for Network, onboard works great! I need the PCMCIA Bus because of the HVX-200 camera, I'm leaving for Morocco for a movie shot on the HVX, Our dedicated Storage unit is a Hacintosh... the Camera records to Type II PCMCIA cards, I can fit 8 750 GB drives in my desktop, obviously that is a lot better than 4 Firewire 800 RAIDS, I hate external. My X86box is in a Silverstone case Inside of a pelican Watertight Case, It is very rugged and there is a Samsung 22" Widescreen in the lid of the Pelican for monitoring HD through Final Cut Pro. Not to mention DDWRT router in the side attached to Gigabit switch, Basically a editing Suite inside a Pelican, My work around is booting into Windows and transfering the RAW Data from the cards to a MAC Drive (using Mac Drive of course). The cards are 4Gb 8GB 16GB and 32GB, I want to be able to view the footage and start labeling the footage with FCp or I would stay in Windows. I also have a PCIe to Express card, By-tech brand. This may be the one that works... I have nothing to test in it though... There is a ExpressCard to PCMCIA made by Dual Adapters, and there is another cheaper one... basically for the new macs so they can read the P2 cards too... I want to get either the Ricoh or the TI working, I know this sounds a little strange wanting a PCMCIA in my Hackintosh... But This will be my second Feature film Edited with Mac OS X86!! stereobus
I am glad to see so many people getting their cardBuses working! This gives me hope! I have a TI PCIxx12 CardBus in an ACER Travelmate 2480. I have replaced the IOPCCardFamily kext with the one probono attached. but when I dmesg | grep PC it says that start failed. I have not edited the plist. This may be a little out of my league... How do I know what values to change, and how do i change them?

barbie
for those who have cardbus with ene cb1410 or its clone, i'd like to inform you that finally i am able to make that cardbus run under hackintosh thanks to TS and matt-hieu ergosteur for the required info. ... ene CB1410. apparently it's a "clone" of the TI1250 ... here what have i done, i follow TS steps as on the first post (i didn't do the third step though) and for the fourth step i do the replacement of the ID of the TI1250 with ENE CB1410 which is pairwise reversed 4C 10 16 AC with 24 15 10 14 (there will be only one replacement) then VIOLA the card will be recognized ( i dont care it recognized as TI1250, the important thing is, it worked!!) Here is the driver that works for me... IOPCCardFamily.kext.ene.cb1410.barbie.zip

aspirina750
Hi guys, I've been trying to follow the instructions in this thread, but I'm unable to do one of the steps, maybe you guys can help me. I'm trying to enable the PCCard in my laptop Acer Travelmate C200, but under Leopard all the old kext finish with a kernel panic so I've been trying to modify the new one from Leopard, so far I changed the mem and IO addresses, changed the xx12 with a xx21, but don't know where to change the Device ID, in the threads I tried to compare the PCCardInfo and the ~PCCardInfo from the first post, but the one in Leopard it's different so I don't know what to change. I have a TI xx21 Any help would be really appreciated This is my dmesg | grep PC Extension "com.apple.driver.ApplePCIConfigurator" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style. thelazyone
I got mine working by using the IOPCIFamily.kext from the Bug's post on the 2nd page and removing all of the FireWire kexts from my extensions folder. However, now my built in lan isn't working (leopard recognizes the card but it can't connect to anything, ie. 169.*.*.*). I'm pretty sure it's because I replaced the kext because as soon as I revert back to the stock leopard kext my lan works again. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a fix? Thanks.
