  1. Supported Graphics cards with Full QE/QI

Not working: 8400GS 256MB http://www.club-3d.com/index.php/products/...8400gs.146.html Does not work in Tiger (worked well in SL in a dual screen setup). Tested with GraphicsEnabler and the various injector kexts as well as the correct device-properties string, the result is always the same: When the screen is about to switch to the desktop, the screen becomes garbled (about half of it black and the rest with random distorted images from the video memory). Any clues?
  2. Intel HD Graphics / GMA 5700

What exactly did you change in the DSDT?
  3. How many CPU% are idle when you are watching YouTube?
  4. leopard usb problem

This also works: #!/bin/sh sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/IOUSBFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IOUSBCompositeDriver.kext sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/IOSCSIArchitectureModelFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/SCSITaskUserClient.kext sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/IOSCSIArchitectureModelFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IOSCSIBlockCommandsDevice.kext
  5. Is Steve hurting Apple?

Steve is Apple. The company once thought they could do without Steve, and failed miserably. No Apple without Steve, ever.
  6. Intel Wireless driver

iwi3945 produces a Kernel panic this time (on a system where the previous version didn't crash but didn't work either).
  7. The ideal case for me is: * Stackable. Sounds obvious, but look how few cases acutally are designed for this. * No connectors but on the front. This includes the ATX panel as well as power and all others. * Small. But still offering full-size slots. * Little "design". No colorful glowing {censored}. (Think minimalistic.) * Cheap. Again, no frills. Who knows such a case? Who would like to have one?
  8. Under Windows, the processor is throttled down in order to save energy. This kext doesn't do that, it "just" shows the battery in the menu bar, but does no actual power saving, as far as I understand it. The current kernel lacks the required functionality.
  9. Has anyone noticed that the fan is very loud and active, unless you boot Windows first and then do a "warm" restart? Seems like some ACPI registers need to be initialized, which Windows apparently does and which is persistent even through a "warm" reboot. Reproducable.
  10. Is there a way to patch the Darwin bootloader so that it only "sees" hfs volumes, and ignores Windows partitions entirely? The Darwin bootloader is published under the APSL, and the sources are available on http://www.opensource.apple.com/darwinsour...8.x86/boot-132/
  11. IOPCCard info: Intel PCIC probe: TIxx12 rev 00 This means that the PCMCIA controller is recognized and the driver is being loaded. Unfortunately, I do not know what causes the crash. Maybe we can find out by comparing the systems where it works with those where it doesn't.
  12. You need to build the entire driver, not just this one file. (Haven't done that myself yet)
  13. Precisely. The tricky part is that you are not allowed to replace all occurences of "4c10", but only the "right" ones. (I don't know which these are since I never had to modify the vendor ID.) Probably it's way easier to get the source and re-compile it using your IDs. http://www.opensource.apple.com/darwinsour...odules/ti113x.h
  14. AppleHDA Solution - Work in progress

In the docs of the Linux source code, I find patches.drivers/alsa-ad1981hd-all-hp-laptops: Use model "hp" for all HP laptops with AD1981HD. - patches.drivers/alsa-ad1981hd-thinkpad-x60: Add Thinkpad X60/T60/Z60 support. This probably means that HP and Thinkpad versions of the AD1981HD need to be dealt with separately, and here is the corresponding source. http://www.kernelhq.cc/diff-diff.py?v1=247239&v2=253876 It has quite a couple of lines that deal with the HP mute button (apparently the EAPD bit controls the mute button).
  15. AppleHDA Solution - Work in progress

AppleHDA Patcher - 2006/2007 Taruga v1.12 * Patching AppleHDA.kext to 0x11d41981 Done * Checking AppleHDA for patch Done 0001f2c4 cmpl $0x11d41981,%eax 000203d0 cmpl $0x11d41981,%eax * Checking for SPDIF Out Not Detected * Checking for SPDIF In Not Detected * Creating AppleHDA configs * Using the following nodes in pathmap Speaker : 5 17 3 * Copying new config to destination Done This one doesn't work yet, shows empty control panel, gives no sound, mute LED is always on
