Hi guys I'm new to Clover coming from Chamelon, I need some advice please:

 

-My main system is Gigabyte GA-Z87N-WIIFI, I5-4670k, 8GB Ram, Gigabyte GTX650Ti + Monitor 2560x1440, HD4600 Enabled, Bios Setting optimized with Turbo OC, installed Clover 2298 with SSDT and DSDT

 

-Problem 1: WIth Bios UEFI setting CSM support system won't boot, reboot when I see Apple logo, with CSM support no problem.

Tested many option with and without GTX650Ti, MacPro5,1 SMBIOS.

 

-Problem 2: Hwmonitor has CPU multiplier 8x but CPU 792 mhz, why? No problem with Chamelon.

-It's correct MacPro SMBios for this system?

ok  Iam not able to boot  straight  the  boot stop at the icon Insaneleymac UEFI 

 

yesterday with clover 2245, Idont have this issue, the timout 2 sec works and now dont work

 

why the boot stop at this UEFI icon  ? 

???

There is new UEFI somewhere here?

I could not understand what you meant by those config.plist lines? 

I am not sure of the significance of those lines. Just what ever I got from installing, new clover, I posted. I have darwindumper report. If it will be helpful, I can attach it, if possible here.

Are they to be deleted?

@lvg - the default config.plist installed by Clover may not work for you. one usually needs to create a custom config.plist based on your specific HW.

what is your HW? for example do you have Intel HD3000 or HD4000?

do you have extra gfx card etc.

do you have a DSDT.... if not it without so many patches initially. 

 

if you had a working installationwith b1942 - then you can look at that config.plist and make the changes to the newest clover.

I tried to modify as per advice of few in this and other forums. But it just hangs after a few lines. Any suggestions to modify the new config.plist for my hardware will be appreciated.

Ok How are you all Expert with Clover  :lol:  this is a big issue here ,  I   create My personal BOOTABLE DVD Mavericks  clover 2298  B)

the DVD boot very good but I have error 0x7 

and error reading all Extensions, 

 

this is my 16 DVD  that try and I still have a box that 9 out of 25  :P  :hysterical: I show you the Image procces on the boot screen  :)

Are you using VBoxHFS.efi driver? Probably need the HFSPlus.efi driver from apple firmware. How did you create the install media? Why not use a USB??

Are you trying to boot from a cd created with clover? I'm guessing you're using the cd image from clover? Does the cache exist? What does the config look like? Once again I don't get why you are doing this? Why not just create a usb installer and a vanilla dvd?

 

EDIT: Are you using legacy or UEFI booting for it? Because I can't tell from the pictures, it could be either.

Are you trying to boot from a cd created with clover? I'm guessing you're using the cd image from clover? Does the cache exist? What does the config look like? Once again I don't get why you are doing this? Why not just create a usb installer and a vanilla dvd?

 

EDIT: Are you using legacy or UEFI booting for it? Because I can't tell from the pictures, it could be either.

Why I am using DVD ?  Because I whant booting  My dvd  ! I have a tones of USB bootable Clover, I just whant my Boot DVD  :wacko:

I just need fixing this Error 0x7  , I dont used Clover cd  Image , its MY setting ,its A retail DVD Installer , the only one in the old planette  :D  :P

i presume you are booting via UEFI? what drivers do you have and what kexts are in EFI?

 

i would try this set shown in the image. VboxHFS (instead of HFSplus.efi) is  fine for now

i presume you are booting via UEFI? what drivers do you have and what kexts are in EFI?

 

i would try this set shown in the image. VboxHFS (instead of HFSplus.efi) is  fine for now

this is a config.plist that is slightly trimmed/edited. -then 2nd I would try no DSDT edits. but i don't really know where it is hanging to say what is the problem.

Yes. I am booting through UEFI disabling secureboot. Hence I get clover screen. When I initiate booting mac osx, then that screen appears.

I don't have /efi/boot folder. I am using /efi/clover/cloverx64.efi for booting. Slice said in one post that this normal for v2 and above.

I have following kexts.

 ApplePS2Controller,ApplePS2EalnTouchPad,FakeSMC,GenericUSBXHCI,HWInfo, AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement and AppleIntelFrameBufferCapri.

Drivers64UEFI are FSInject,OsxFatBinaryDrv,HfsPlus-64,NTFS,DataHubDxe,EmuVariableUefi,OsxAptioFixDrv and PartitionDxe

I have tried your config.plist and it hangs in the same place as I wrote in post #3079.

yes. I am trying to inject all these kexts.

Just booted with out any modification of config.plist further on my own. I am not sure with or without caches?  I don't know how to boot with out caches. I have uploaded debug.log and posted in projectosx.

You can also try older version of Clover (2082-1284) to see if it works.

@lvg - i would try without any DSDT edits to see you have a DSDT patch issue? hit the space bar on boot disk from Clover and scroll down to boot without caches

I tried that option of without caches, just it loads drivers and hangs.

You can also try older version of Clover (2082-1284) to see if it works.

For me version 1942 works ok. Problem is my camera was not recognised by facetime and I had to use camtwist to get camera working.

I tried 2082 which was installed by bootdiskutility. It also works but reduces resolution to 800x600 instead of 1366x768.

Hence I trying newer version.

1) did you try booting without patching DSDT  - i.e. make false all fixes in ACPI? so you have another working config on a more recent clover when you installed using bootdiskutility on 2082 - what is the DSDT fix mask? the low/default screen resolution is probably because it was not injecting HD4000? since this boots up, this configuration should point you to a working solution.

 

2) a newer clover version will not change the camera recognition issue as that has nothing to do the camera device.

While facetime obtained using 1942 did not recognise camera, 2082 recognised. May be coincidence of version change, but it has something to do with USB. How to get drivers for the new particular clover version.

Sorry. I was confused between drivers and kexts. I was using the drivers in inbuilt in the .pkg.

I checked before boot in options also. All fixes are removed.

I matched his config.plist from 1942 exactly. He had that fix mask before and it worked. Please remove clover entirely from the usb, in fact just format it to fat32. then try again please with installer and config.plist you have from me, if needed adjust your fix mask if you need/want less.

 

EDIT: If you have clover on any other partitions you should also remove them. Don't format your partition if it has other loaders on there, ie, its your EFI System partition (ESP).
