Sure?

Yes, it is normal.

I could not understand what you meant by those config.plist lines?

I am not sure of the significance of those lines. Just what ever I got from installing, new clover, I posted. I have darwindumper report. If it will be helpful, I can attach it, if possible here.

Are they to be deleted?

With Clover it gets past my BIOS post, then says blf:init, after about 30 seconds it changes to blf:init7, then shows a black screen, that stays there indefinitely. I am not entirely sure whether my motherboard is EFI or UEFI (sorry), and Google doesn't help either. It is a Biostar A780L. Any help would be hugely appreciated!

It is non-UEFI board. As you see init7 means Clover started but can't do anything useful because of... ATHLON!

I know some more recent AMD CPU are successful but I can't promise you anything.

Could you give me a bit of guidance where to start to get it working?

Customize your Clover install. Uncheck "Install for UEFI motherboards". Uncheck "Install on ESP". Check "Install boot0af in MBR". Also, select the "Metal" theme or you will find yourself with a blue glitchy screen.

Thanks Ameris :) Going to give it a go now.

EDIT: Following that, it still hangs at a pure black screen?

Could you give me a bit of guidance where to start to get it working?

Search through the forum about Mac on AMD.

Learn C++ to become to be a developer.

Search a documentation about AMD CPU.

Tell me what I have to change in Clover to make it working with your AMD CPU. Test, debug, change and test again.

Hi guys I'm new to Clover coming from Chamelon, I need some advice please:

-My main system is Gigabyte GA-Z87N-WIIFI, I5-4670k, 8GB Ram, Gigabyte GTX650Ti + Monitor 2560x1440, HD4600 Enabled, Bios Setting optimized with Turbo OC, installed Clover 2298 with SSDT and DSDT

-Problem 1: WIth Bios UEFI setting CSM support system won't boot, reboot when I see Apple logo, with CSM support no problem.

Tested many option with and without GTX650Ti, MacPro5,1 SMBIOS.

-Problem 2: Hwmonitor has CPU multiplier 8x but CPU 792 mhz, why? No problem with Chamelon.

-This is my config.log:

Stupid question, but can you double check that you have the proper boot order?

Its an NVRAM issue

open terminal, type sudo nvram -c

reboot

boot into OS X

then reboot one more time

It should then work.

Why two reboots? One to rebuild the nvram and one to test that it works

No

Try this:

Open Chameleon Preference pane, click on NVRam variables. In the drop down menu "Save NVRAM contents to disk", select always

Reboot

And if you are wondering, I am 10000000000% certain that this is nvram related.

Glad I could help.

Final suggestion: Open the Clover prefpane again and set it to auto. Setting it to always will keep boot flags through reboot, so if you were to type -x, it would always boot with -x until the NVRam is cleared
