79xx cards have signed voltage in the bios..... Been looking into this all day...

Did you get my message about monitoring agpm ? is there a way to monitor temps / clocks on 79xx cards ?

Plugins do not support the new cards as of late.

If you haven't found it yet, try this: http://www.overclock.net/t/1196856/official-amd-radeon-hd-7950-7970-7990-owners-thread/4220#post_16496161

My 7950 w.Boost runs stable @1175/1375 (5500 effective) on stock voltage.

PS. For those who have RadeonHD7xxx I wish to announce that since today HWSensors measures its temperature (both my branch and kozlek's).

7950 vs  7970 in a MP 5,1. Both flashed and OC'ed. 7970 is "crappy" Rev. 2.1 without Boost and with locked voltage. Didn't want to go higher than 1025.

7950 has TDP bumped from 163 to 183 W. 7970 from 217 to 235 W.

Newer not always equals the better... 10.9.3 is worse in OpenGL compared to 10.8.5. I purposefully ran Basic preset to rule out tesselation and here is what I got.

Card runs @1150/6000, Mac Pro 5,1.
