That is one issue I am not having

Thanks for the screenshot and reply, at least I know how its supposed to look hehe

Hmm I wonder what's causing my issue then heh... I thought it might be ShapeShifter, but I've put iTunes in the list to not theme...

There must be some one else out there with this problem? :sorcerer:

Strangely, now that I get the hack to work with the ditto instructions above, I get the error that "iTunes is unable to browse album covers on this computer" Could this be due to the fact that I upgraded quicktime (and have an SSE2 P4)? I'm running 10.4.7 using the JAS updater (from 10.4.6). Is there a way to remove quicktime and reinstall from the DVD?

Also, seems like iTunes hangs partway through trying to download album art (but not at the same point each time, but it has to start over when you ask it to search for album art). Didn't have this problem in the XP version (or on my iBook, but of course that is not running in Rosetta).

Thanks,

Dan

hi folks!

i'm getting also that bad memory error (osx86 10.4.6, p4 sse2, 1gb ram).

before going one step back (rosetta) we should fix it running native on all our hackintoshs.

hope there will be a patch

i believe in the community

thx

sniper

EDIT: this could be the key... --> http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...4&hl=itunes

Is there anybody has the same problem as mine? In the iTunes Store/Movie, when I click movie preview, it doesn't show the preview movie, but I hear the sound. It shows like this.

How can I solve this problem? (Hopefully this question is considered in the topic)

This may just be related to your internet connection, when I had 278kb/s connection I could never see any of the music videos in the preview space. Now that I have a 3.5mb/s connection everything shows up just fine. If it's not that then it's most likely related to Quicktime, try updating it as Bicet said.

I'm lost in the thread...

I have a P4 3.0Ghz SSE2 CPU. I managed to run the itunes v7 application by doing these steps:

1. updated QuickTime

2. created the thin ppc only binary for iTunes: ditto -arch ppc iTunes.app iTunesPPC.app

3. Edited to Info.pList inside the iTunesPPC.app/Contentes folder to allow non native execution

Still didn't work...

4. Renamed the original iTunes.app to iTunesUniversal.app and renamed the thin PPC version to iTunes.app et voila!

It is working (under rosetta of course)...

Sorry if someone has already posted the step 4 of my intructions...

My CPU is AMD SSE2 2800+

After changed to the PPC version mentioned above.

iTunes7 worked finally.

Quicktime 7.13 also installed.

I found the project file in iMovie had some problem now.

It's another problem after install iTunes7.

If the total solution patch for SSE2 is not possible.

Maybe I need to reinstall OSX for normal iMovie function.OMG!!

I'll try to recover iTunes6 universal later.

For your reference.

Hi,

this thread is getting looong

so here's a quick info for all AMD users with SSE3: you can upgrade, iTunes and QT

are working, no need to run a cpu ID fix.

A suggetion for a -50 error fix:

I remember that we had a similar errorcode a few versions ago, and were able to fix it by

simply unchecking ALL languages except for "english". Do this via rightclick on iTunes under

Programs and "Show Info" (or "Get Info"). Then find the Language menue at the bottom of

the info menue.

I don't know if this will fix the error, but you could give it a try.

Keep in mind that iTunes 7 could become a problem to people with unaccelerated graphic

cards like geForce, because it seems to me that the new feature "Cover Flow" needs QE

and CI.

I hope that I am wrong :) I can't prove it atm because it is running fine here so your feedback

would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Do you think that is the reason? How come I can view the special event without any problems?
