Spiphy
I am having the same problem. It has to be a problem related to running a hackintosh system. I get the message when I have over half a gig of free ram. pro547
Sorry for the quick topic. I can't even run it in Rosesetta. But is there a solution to downgrade itunes back to 6.0.5 I have the .mpkg for 6.0.5 but when I go to install it, it wants to skip everything. I really don't want to have to reinstall my hackintosh. Wayland
And with the ditto trick I get this Looks like Apple is starting to make their applications not run on our non-true systems! Does this look like something that is up and coming?!?! snikx
Just to report it's working for me... I'am running iTunes 7 on my hackintosh without any problem. v6 Library was analysed and everything went fine.... Music works as well as video store (i see a couple of movie previews) but QT 7.1.3 is needed. RAM used is 270MB (total) reported by MenuMeters. quixos
weird, it's working great for me. 10.4.7 and all that. the CoverFlow animations are even more fluid than CoverFlow standalone app! we'll have to put our heads together, find out what is different. or should we bother? need someone else to run it in Rosetta to see if it's as fast as mine. opens in one bounce, then a short pause. StarForge
Hmm seems ok here so far, but mind you its still 'Determining Gapless Playback Information' so maybe it'll choke hehe. I've not got the latest Quicktime either... might get it if things work fine past this stage. Bamboo
Doesn't work for me, even after an update (and a reboot (!)) to QuickTime 7.1.3. Wild guess: a problem with the SSE3 emulation. Do people who had it working have a SSE3 capable CPU? quixos
i'm updating to QT 7.13 on a secondary installation. sounds dangerous, with the different results people are getting. i'm SSE2 and running it perfectly under Rosetta. the person i'm talking to who has it running Universal has SSE3 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/27441-itunes-7-official-problem-thread/#findComment-187099 Share on other sites

jackt283
Working fine here, QT 7.0.4, and SSE3. It's pretty cool, though that blue icon is a shocker.
