Where did you put Ge=Y and what is rom?

depending on what version of chameleon you are using, you put it in 1 of 3 locations:

/Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist

/Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist

It should be placed as:

<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>

<string>Yes</string>

UseATIRom / UseNVIDIARom is another setting in chameleon, that specifies to use an Alternative ATI/Nvidia Rom for information to send to the system.

You can use this, but it's not neccesary.

By default, it will look for the ROM files in /Extra

for more info, check the chameleon Docs, or type "?" at the chameleon boot screen.

Asus EN210 512mb works... QE/CI via Graphicsenabler=yes and EFI strings. Works on Lion and Snow Leopard...

Leadtek Winfast PX9400 GT 512mb does not work for Lion.... tried for weeks but no luck... bought the Asus EN210 512mb and it works... but need to put npci=0x2000 in the boot.plist...

VTX 3D Radeon 5670 1GB DDR5 works well on Lion DP4. I had to add the card's unique device id to the ATI5000Controller.kext plist. The string I've added is: 0X68B91002 so yes, it's an 5670 but it's dev id is 68B9. GraphicsEnable=No.

VGA out Works perfect, HDMI out works fine, tested on LG TV. Everything's got recognized but had no sound on hdmi. I mean there wasn't any new sound out device in the system preferences.

Sometimes the cursor is buggy in WoW but it works very well and on pretty cool performance!! It's nearly windows-level.

Update

Lion 10.7.1

I had to change a few settings for my hackintosh to get it working 99,9% percent.

I had to upgrade my Chameleon from version 7xx to version 1499 and set GraphicsEnabler=Yes. By this my Lion detects my VTX 3D Radeon HD5670 more better. By this I can get working DVD Player, GeekBench and ALL steam games working. No crash on launch and the whole system feels more smooth.

System Information says HD 5600 Series instead of HD 5000 series

As you can see I have to set the second monitor to hardware mirroring because there is a little bug in this way: The osx detects that I'm using both of vga and dvi outputs. So I set one of them to mirror and everything's perfect.

I think HDMI works too but right now I can't test it but I will do it soon.

I had one more problem this way and it's very important: The system couldn't detect well my monitor and the system only let me use 4:3 ratio resolutions but my monitor is 16:10. So I had to hack the EDID information which tells the operation system the needed informations about my monitor. Here's a wonderful guide I used: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=208410 I've used Solution A. It took me about half and hour to do everything step-by-step but really worth it. ;)

Have fun.

fixed second fake monitor issue on ati series (i guess 4xxx series). It's not a clean way but it just works. use atisupport, atiframebuffer, atixxxx controller from 10.6. I've edited 4800 series framebuffers to get second monitor active from hdmi and dp ports http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...=258665&hl=. it works on lion

Is there no way to run an older AGP card with Lion?

I have an old Asus P4 P800SE rig I want to try and see if it can run Lion. Got hope for it since Lion actually do work and work really well on my Intel DG945GCLF singelcore mobo an since this mobo even if its newer cant even come close to the performance of my old ASus rig.

My main hack is an Asus P6T SE, i7 930 cpu, Sapphire HD 5750 1 gb.

The Sapphire 5750 card works pretty much out of box all you need to do is paste the id in the Ati 5000 kext.

How did you get your to work? I have tried everything but no luck.

Thanks!

Very simple! Chameleon-2.0-RC5-r1020 with GarphicsEnabler=Yes!

Before I had an EFI-string. They work both!

Nvidia GeForce GT 210 works out of the box.....

not tried hdmi, and dvi but i think it'll work toooo....

What brand do you have, and what is the memory on it?? I am looking to buy one that works OOB...

Hi, where did you get the EFI string from for your 430?

did it not work with Chameleon Graphics enabler?

Also, Has anyone got any info on the GT520? I stupidly bought one without checking, but it is looking like it won't work.

Hi All I got my ASUS GT 430 1GB DDR3 running using a efi string in com.apple.Boot.plist with Graphic Enabler No.

Actually I have Asus GT520 1GB Silent working with Lion 10.7.2 and Chameleon 2.1 r1700

I didn't do anything special, the Chameleon injection and lion Nvidia drivers must be working.

At boot it gets to "PCI Configuration Begin" and gives no more text output for about 45 seconds then goes straight to the login screen. Anyone know what that is about? It wasn't doing it with my old GFX card (8600GT)

here's my Xbench results

EDIT - weirdly I get almost the same performance both in Xbench and in Cinebench for the GT520 1Gb and the 8600GT 512Mb. The GT520 should way outperform the 8600, it has more processors, double the RAM and a faster clock speed, what gives?
