Hi all,

 

The display are shifted.

 

Display current is 1280*1024,my display officiel is 1600*900

 

Ecran Ecran HP LED de 43,9 cm (17,3 pouces) haute définition HD+ BrightView (1 600 x 900)

 

Must be changed in the bootloader or com.apple.boot.plist ?

 

Graphics Mode=1600*900*32 in com.apple.boot.plist don't work for me,why ?

hi,

my dv8 suddenly dead. i did not do anything special. trying to resume it from sleep, i see black screen and nothing happens. I noticed something strange because i had put it on sleep and when using it again it wasn't on stop any more(power led not blinking). Trying to power it on again it results in black screen and nothing happens. Any suggestion trying to recover it ? I press power on, fan is powering on, i cannot see anything on screen. Fan is slowing its speed too after powered on, but screen is still black.

You understand i am desperated... so please try to help me and sorry for the offtopic.

I really hope to fix it, but in case i cannot fix it, any model to replace it(perfectly compatible and with 1920x1080 full hd res)?

First of all turn it off. Then unplug the battery and the AC adapter. Wait for 1 min. Put the battery back and power it on. It should work without any problem.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I did it... i waited for 5 minutes without battery (or acpower) but it's always the same, black screen and non-working. Any ideas what happened and how to fix?

Nope, it didn't enter the bios. I just had totally black screen with nothing at all in the screen!

BTW ... I fixed it!! OMG i had some hours of TRUE panic!!

I had to open it COMPLETELY,though. I checked all connections, and some were ok, some not(i had some flickering in video sometimes, perhaps due to one of such connectors not staying in their own safe place. I travel a lot with this laptop. I also removed the cmos battery. Then i waited for 15 minutes and it works now! Is it a known problem of DV8 to go in such "stalled" mode not fixed even powering it on or off?

Luckily i did it and i can continue working with it.

Since i opened it, I did tape-foil modifications for such annoying wifi power on/off switch that automatically switches due to interferences, that affects most dv8 units.

When I was still experimenting with Hackintosh I had this problem and I fixed it with the way I previously explained you.

Taptun has already posted a patched kernel for 10.7.2 (Post #993). That's the one I am using. :(

Can I install this method with this BIOS HP?

I tried about everything , a new Valid serial # , deleting files , etc........ I have it working on my other Hackintosh with a Gigabyte Motherboard , and it works great ! It sends files from my iPhone and my iPad2, but it does not work on my HP DV8, I have the latest Chameleon r-1650

I made my XIID, MIID successfully, but when i boot into Chameleon, and boot the os x installation, a bunch of words come out and then my laptop reboots. I think i saw something with acpi table not found or something. I plugged in the XIID into a macbook and fonud that there is no extra folder on it, only "install mac os x", "optional isntall", "instruction" 3 files.

How do i put the DSDT and stuff in?

 

My laptop is Pavilion Dv6-4008tx.

 

Intel Core i7-2630QM

8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 (2 x 4 GB)

1 TB SATA (5400 rpm)

1366 x 768

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6570 Graphics (1 GB DDR5 dedicated)

How do I create a DSDT or an almost completely working DSDT if I don't have Mac? I'm using a laptop (Specifically HP Pavillion DV4t-1400) and I can't find a DSDT under the DSDT library. The autopatcher link is also dead or broken in the v2.0 guide. Any help would be much appreciated as I can't really move anywhere without a DSDT.

Hello all,

Firstly i am a newbie for Mac and Linux things. Last week i saw that Hacintosh thing on a forum and curious about if i could install too,, i was trying to install Lion (iAtkos) on my laptop (in my signature) and gave up after 2 days all ending failure (Actually it loads but dont recognize keyboard and touchpad, when trying to replacing kext, makes lapic errors),,

Then (another 2 days) i installed SL 10.6.3(iAtkos again.) but nothing works on it and have to boot with cpus=1 -v -x,, and when i tried to update it to 10.6.8 i get lapic error. i tried different boot loaders,, different customize options on [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] and the stock one, mach_kernel replacing from this topic, but no chance to make it work,,,

I think without a DSDT file this laptop wont work on an OSX,, i searched too many forums and topics but that made me confused and lost ,, now i think Chimera bootloader is the best for i7-Lion blend? which customize option do i check to install? and there is a working DSDT for DV6 2070et (which one in my signature).. and if i get a DSDT.aml then i wont need a patched kernel?? how can i extract a DSDT without a MAC? (on linux ppl says its not a clean DSDT and working same as no DSDT.aml)

 

Edit: i think i found the clean DSDT for my Laptop.. used iasl on windows? on linux didnt work for me... btw output is DSDT_SLIC-MPC.DSL and DSDT_SLIC-MPC.DAT uploaded *.dsl one,,, anyone explain me what should i do with this? how to patch it?

ok by searching alot more and using Mammoth's DSDT ( cuz almost same DSDT ) i got 10.6.8 working without wifi and card reader,need GraphicsEnabler=yes but this is hopeful for a newbie with no help :blink: now i am trying to install Lion but Cham Partition didnt work so i try to boot with [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] from TonyOSX86 on the welcome secreen i am stucking cuz of damn Keyboard thing, asking me plug the keyboard :S i also have SL another partition and put the voodoops2.kext and do permision but no luck to boot now kicking me out and reseting itself now :S can anyone show me a way this time?
