Sadly, after 10 minutes of waiting, nothing happens... Still only the white dash on the black screen... Nothing moves, no inputs works..

:(

I tried with XPC too, same problem... Do you think it could be a bios issue?? Damn this pisses me off lol

Enter Bios setup and set Serial Port to Disabled and try again

MY Gigabyte C2D system now boots Lion install.

But KP after 2 and other try 10 Minutes in the install process. No kext shown in the KP screen, only some kernel informations. I disabled OC in BIOS and all Psstates dsdt things, but KP stay.

I tried to remove that .mkext , then the system starts as usual reading the normal kexts, but in single user mode after kextload i now get an errormessage of some file/disk driver not loaded and it doesnt boot.

What CPU are you using, and which Gigabyte mobo?

Also, which USB thumb drive are you starting up with?

Hi,

I had success installing Lion on my Hackintosh.

My only problem is getting the video card (Ati Sapphire HD 4830) to work since resolution is not correct and qe ci is not enabled.

Anyone could suggest me anything?

What method worked in Snow? Consider that method in Lion (or netkas' new ATI HD48xx enabler for Lion).

Which USB thumb drive did you use to install Lion? (I have a Lion DVD and a HD restore of the same content; however, since DVDs and CDs are non-starters, I *unfortunately* have to go get myself a thumb drive and use that method.)

**Curses.**

The frustrating part is that whenever I go to get stuff like thumb drives or other computer-related items, since I rely on mass-transit, which only runs during rush hour, I lose the whole day.

And that's on top of the $10 minimum it costs me in bus/subway fees (over and above the parts costs).

To install Lion I used ##### 1.2.

Regarding video card, the problem is that I didn't remember what method I used in snow... Sigh...

Any suggestion?

I can´t get setup to load :/

It panics with AppleIntelCPUPowermanagement, saying "panic CPU0 ... NO HPET´s..."

It does with my SL dsdt.aml, as well with dsdt.aml generated by #####, both placed in /efi/acpi/oem ...

I have absolutely no clue how you guys did it!!! Would someone be so kind and point me into the direction?

Have you tried deleting the DSDT.aml file from the #####/XPC stick? That happens to me when I have a DSDT file there, for some reason it's not compatible with Lion.

Had same problem here, solved unplugging all HDs but Lion's one. Serial port is disabled in BIOS.

@blade5502 I deleted the file AppleIntelCPUPowermanagement.kext I do not have the error, but stops as in photo

Had the same problem on my laptop, but after deleting it booted just fine. You can also try to boot Lion without dsdt - this maybe also helps

Your stick isn't bootable or boot priority in Bios is wrong! DuetToHDD reported success?

Hi blade5502

Do you think when a distro hackintosh of mac os x lion released , will work on my laptop acer extensa 5220, intel celeron cpu at 2.0GH , 2GB of ram and an intel x3100 graphic card ?

Thx in advance :)

Hi!

I've installed Lion on my Dell Inspiron 1920 (Centrino 2,26GHz,8600m gt) but it's terrible slow! I don't recommand you to install Lion on your laptop - you wouldn't be happy with it

You have to delete PlatformSupport.plist in System/Library/CoreServices...

should help.

Lion is running now, with plopping Sound, but without proper graphic..8(

use 9600GT, which is not in the xxx.plist entries.

Manual Set in info.plist (like in SL) didnt work..

Anyone, who is using this Card wird success? Nivida 9600GT (10de0622) ?

Delete or rename PlattformSupport.plist in /S/L/CoreServices

anyone else getting the spinning beechball for a min or two after clicking pretty much anything? or is it just me? :)

Makes Lion pretty much unusable ;P

Sound & Graphics both work. No idea about Wifi though. Can't be bothered testing with this problem ><
