wow. I really like that black one and its only $40 thats impressive. Thanks a lot for those links. finding a case seems like a {censored} shoot i never know where to look to find them half the time i just see whats popular on newegg as a starting point. Those are all mATX cases but still that is really sleek looking and professional. I didn't know asus made cases like those.

Yes, those are nice looking cases. Here is a full ATX version of the black one:

You might also want to check out the Antec P150 and CoolerMaster Centurion which both include PSU's. Lian Li also has some new cases for about $100 without PSU, like the PC-G50 which are also worth checking out:

I have this case and it's very strong and well built. No complaints about it except if you mount a larger than stock HSF you may need to mod it. My zalman was a little too big and needed to be cut so it would fit on the board and not touch the PSU.

What is everyone's favorite case lately? What cases did people use to build their current system?

I always thought those aspire X-QPack ones seem pretty cool. I have never built a pc with one though so i don't know how they work and if they stay cool.

Hey Guy's

Here a message from the Netherlands.

Unfortunately we lost fom Portugal yesterday and are no longer in the race for World Championschip Socker ;-)

Back to reallity:

I use the case P180 and PSU from ANTAC:

case is http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=81800

PSU is http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=24500

These are very well build products and extremely silent!

Unfortunately I have no pictures other than on the website, but then again, it's just a case.

Regards,

Klaas

I just bought a Silverstone LC11 case for my HTPC

To make the case even quieter

I can't believe they put in crappy 32 db fans in the PSU and case.

I want to change them all with quiet SilenX or Nexus fans.

I bought the CoolerMaster Stacker...

For me this case is good looking (enough) and more important Functional!

The most beautifull thing of this case is, that it has only 5.25" bays (the whole front of the case).

CoolerMaster has an accessoiry which uses 3 of these 5.25" bays, but gives you 4 good cooled 3.5" Bays (for Harddisks).

So many different combinations can be made, for example:

Maximal Harddisks

1x Cardreader/Floppy-drive combination (3.5")

1x DVD Burner

12x Harddisk (using the CoolerMaster 4-in-3 Modules)

5.25" Storage

1x Cardreder/Floppy-drive combination (3.5")

4x CD/DVD Burner

8x Harddisk (Using the CoolerMaster 4-in-3 Module)

Other configurations (with more 5.25" devices) are also possible.

Antec P180. One thing is that it's definitely not small or discrete, but it is clean lined, easy to access, and you can house a small family inside one, which means that there is almost nothing that won't fit in terms of CPU cooling. This, along with the use of composites and plastics for the enclosure rather than steel or aluminium, and the excellent speed adjustable case fans means you can render the machine as near completely silent as you can get, even using relatively cheap components. In terms of its sheer capacity, features and build quality it's almost certainly the best value you can get. Oh, it also comes with special grommets to cut down in HD and optical drive noise and even a special little place for storing all the bits, bobs, screws etc.
