An article about the end of Windows 98 written by a Mac fanboy. Ugh. Why am I not surprised...

They're also pulling support for Windows XP SP1. SP2 didn't come out too long ago. I think it has less to do with the actual age of their OS's. They're pulling support for OS's that they feel are too buggy to bother helping anybody with. So that isn't saying much...

Well at least they're freeing up the phone lines for all the milliones of people who will be asking for help with Vista as they run into a bizillion problems. Smart move.

The only PC I have with Windows 98 doesn't even have an ethernet port, and since dial-up is out of the question, I simply don't use the internet on it. It makes me feel like I'm in the days before the internet became mainstream. :D

Rollercoaster tycoon? i got that game it's fun when you got nothing to do...

well that's why they make ethernet cards most win 98 comps have one installed by the owner.

I own Windows 95 and 98 legally, along with XP Home and XP MCE. I never paid for any of them, they just came with computers that were given to me. I've always known it would be a waste of money. Now if OS X was actually released for non-Apple computers, I would buy it in a split second.
