Can I use Kexthelper to install the kexts and thats it?

How can I use EFI on this?

Do I have to make a Display HEX String with OSX Tools and put them into apple.com.Bootlist ???

did you try to edit your com.boot.plist file?

just add this to /system/library/preferences/system configuration/com.apple.Boot.plist

<key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1280×1024×32</string>

just replace <string>1280×1024×32</string> with what you want

exemple : <string>1024x768×32</string>

I'm working on it - it has taken me a little while to work out how to do that, so I'l update this post when I think I'm done...

Ok - have tried changing resolution on the Darwin loader, and even when making the EFI string for the com.apple.Boot.plist, but no joy. Everytime it boots onto the apple screen, and then goes blank, changing to the 1280 resolution :|

derpuma, at first delete similar from system/library/extensions, then establish these using OSx86 Tools, Reboot, then IT, post №171.

Attention!!! For the correct work OSx86 Tools, you will place it into Volume/Programs.

what you can do is to edit com.apple.windowserver.plist which is in /lib/preferences

it is the plist file of your display pref panel

after editing it, just lock the file so it can not be edited again by system

it should resolve your problem :)

Also try deleting your PreferencePanes cache at

~/Library/Caches/com.apple.preferencepanes.cache

and repair permissions and reboot :)

After 2 hours of painful installation. GREAT SUCCESS! I <3 you guys!

I'll post this so maybe people can use my method and it will work

PNY Verto 9600 GT ID 0x622 (Just about the same as everyone)

Download Aquamac v2 extensions.

Install but dont reboot

using nano in terminal edit the NVDANV50Hal.kext/Contents/Info.plist

change under IOPCIPrimaryMatch the id 0x062A10de...... to 0x062210de...... (where .... is the rest of the string just leave that part intact)

go to EFI studio and boot.plist editor and give it a one over, check to make sure kernel flags has a yes to it (ask if you dont know what i mean) and move any old efi strings if there are any.

go to osx86 tools and the efi string creator, follow the instuctions for you card to create the efi string and add it to boot.plist

remove any injectors such as nvinject nvkush nvdarwine and then in osx86 tools run the repair extensions and clear extensions cache commands

reboot

Hope that helps someone.

take it :)

unzip it and copy/paste it to /lib/preferences/

don't forget to lock it

and don't forget to edit you boot.plist as well

com.apple.windowserver.plist.zip

Hi there,

Have gone through all the instructions and locked the com.apple.windowserver.plist, but to no avail, I'm still getting the same freeze when I boot, with the pc going into 1280 resolution :)

Great job! Driver works great on MSI NVIDIA 9600 GT. Only thing I noticed is that in mirror mode, one display works and other is black. Only thing I see on other display is mouse cursor moving :-)

Does others have same issue?

I just made an installer for the NVIDIA 9 Series Drivers taken from the new Macbookpro Update. Download it here:

http://rapidshare.com/files/155562098/NVID...rivers.zip.html

My 9800 GTX now uses the correct Open GL Engine.

seriesdriverinst.jpeg

10.5.5 minimum requirement I would think.

will this installer will work for my 9600GT 1G DDR3 ?

Download and install IT or IT, make strings and it is ready! :)

Alega. Do you mean with the new kexts from 10.5.6 update, I don't have to change info.plist in NVDANV50Hal.kext? And don't have to change my kexts from the new macbooks?

Just put the EFI string for my 9600GT on com.apple.boot.plist?

Thanks.

Drfrag.
