Morning kozlek, how does changing back to SDK 10.7 effect things please?

I don't know what you changed other than the SDK build but the frequencies and multipliers are now separated and are much easier to read so thank you!

For me now to perfect things (and of course if at all possible) I would like Power/Battery renaming to CMOS Battery and System Fan #1 to just read System Fan but I have yet to figure out how to customise things or tinker on Github.

Done. You can rename System Fan #1 in your motherboard profile in MotherboardSensors's info.plist.

hi. i tried 4.2 build of famesmc kext in osx-10.6.8 (with legacy kernel): it fails to load on boot.

had to revert to older versions.

i dont know if...

something needs revision, please let me know if you want me to do tests and feedback.
or im missing something and just doing something wrong.

My motherboard is Asus P6X58D-Premium. The voltage of CMOS Battery is shown as 0V. Would be the issue fixed?

How do I determine if I need to use the ACPISensors.kext with my hardware as the kext does not seem to be loaded when checked with DarwinDmper and the HWMonitor display looks the same with or without it installed in S/L/E?

There is also a small typo in the Menu Bar Extension, DRIVES TEMPERATURES would read better as DRIVE TEMPERATURES

What was changed in latest releases?

Tried latest build but lost my fan info and gnu info

DSDT was edited about month ago to match august build of HWsensors

Fan is RPM4, other settings about cpu temp is shown correct.

Is Fan alias again FAN[0-9] ?

Yes, FAN[0-F] again. But you can change it in info.plist to any name you wish. The first column is the key it should be FAN[0-F], the second column is DSDT's fan method name - you can change it to RPM[0-F] or any other name.

How do I determine if I need to use the ACPISensors.kext with my hardware as the kext does not seem to be loaded when checked with DarwinDmper and the HWMonitor display looks the same with or without it installed in S/L/E?

I'm curious about this too. If I don't need it then I'd rather not install it. I like to keep third-party kexts to a minimum.

The ACPISensors.kext depends on the ACPI device entry within the DSDT. It is optionally used for the otherwise unsupported Super I/O controller chipsets.

So, if your Super I/O chip is fully supported and functional, the ACPISensors.kext is unnecessary,

just test it out yourself by booting with the kext and without it. the hwmonitor app will tell you whether you're seeing more sensors or not, and then you can decide.

I removed it last night and everything looked the same in HWMonitor and iStat Menus. So I guess I don't need it after all. My system log shows "SuperIODevice: found Nuvoton NCT6776F" so it must be supported by MotherboardSensors.kext
