kozlek, may you show your PTID device? I'm looking for TSDL method, but it doesn't exist.

I have no PTID device.

After installing HWMonitor the keyboard backlight on my MacBook stopped working.
I believe that may have been installed some kext that caused the problem.
How do I fix? Has anyone experienced this?

Personally, I would remove what you installed and see if it starts working again.

Also, I could be wrong here but I think these files were developed for Hacks not Macs.

@kozlek, many, many thanks for adding the ED45-UD3P!

Can I ask, should I also be using the ACPISensors.kext file as I currently don't (It was showing up in the list of loaded kexts so I removed it)?

Also, in the attached screenshot you can see a System Fan #1 and a CPU 1 entry remains, I assume you meant to remove the 1 from all these or was it just GPU entries you worked on?

If possible, could you give me any more info on what the Power/Battery (3.248V) reading is telling me?

Ok thanks, I will try and find more information on it.

It could be the CMOS Battery voltage I guess...

EDIT: Looks like TimeWalker75a and I agree on that ;)

Would it be possible to separate the Core Multipliers from the Frequencies as I think it would be more readable that way?

With the latest release, I get the following:
Attached File  Untitled.jpg   257.06K   34 downloads

CPU temps and voltage seems correct (except there's quite an amplitude in between cores, but I'll have to check windows, who knows maybe I seated my heatsink wrong :worried_anim: ), as does the GPU (I don't even think windows displays that much info, good work :thumbsup_anim: ). CPU heatsink, maybe (seems kind of low in comparison with CPU core). Ambient has to be off, it's ~15ºC in the room, so there's no way that ambient is going to be higher than the CPU by a whooping 5-10ºC. The latest release fixed the reading for my Fan 2 (it used to be red [?]; BTW Fan 1 = CPU Fan 1 and Fan 2 = Chassis Fan 2 for my motherboard). PSU 3 & 4 are 3v and 3v backup, this I'm sure of. The rest, I can't make heads or tails of... The memory is the only one that seems easy to fix (since I know which one it is and I have a BIOS value for it which I can calculate the gain with -1.6v as far as I can remember)

Again, if someone can help me work out a working plist entry for my MB, it would be greatly appreciated...

Are there any boards in the plist that are close to yours? It was easy (For koxlek!) to get mine added as the UD3R was already in there, this made a huge difference to my display...

I've been looking at the plist, the closest would be the Z68 Pro3-M I guess, but as far as I could tell, the actual sensor configuration isn't that close... I tried editing it myself but I didn't get very far, since I can't determine the gain for many of the values (as I don't know what they correspond to in the BIOS, and OpenHWMonitor can't read them any better...).

I think he mentions the GPU temp. (But maybe that is because he doesn't have graphics power management or something...?)

Sorry, Fabio. I have no idea how to fix this. I only ported part of the nouveau engine to work with HWSensors.

Good to know but without install log or screenshot if it's KPs I can't do nothing.
