theDUD3
Greetings! My system has been running smoothly for a couple of months now from SL to the current Lion GM and ever since the only wall I have hit is that I could not get hdmi and sleep/wake to work. I have read in the forums is that DSDT patching is the way to go but I am such a noob in this DSDT thing. I am lost and don't know where to start, I'm willing to learn and I have been searching for DSDT's from the same mobo (Asrock P67 Pro3) as i have but unluckily this mobo is not popular here. Can anybody please point me to where I can start or maybe look at my DSDT and tell me what to do with it? Some questions: 1. What do I need to get and edit my DSDT? 2. What do I need to know concerning tweaks and patches with an unpopular mobo such as mine. 3. My Lion hackintosh is up and running smoothly except for HDMI in my gtx470 and wake/sleep, will DSDT fixes fix this? My apologies for questions that may seem stupid to some of you and thanks for any help you can give me.
olmirror
Hey there MaLd0n, I was hoping you could take a quick look at my dsdt from a GA p35 ds4, everything seems to be working, except for sleep of course. I think I actually patched a GA p35 ds3r dsdt as the board resembles mine closely. Goes to sleep fine but wakes to a black screen. Hard reset. Another question I had is whether I can drop sleepenabler, NullCPUPowerManagment.kext and ElliottForceLegacyRTC.kext with a working DSDT. Preciate your time and effort... p35ds4dsdt.zip
marmotta
After some test i go to no-dsdt solution... all work ok! With dsdt: graphic, audio, network, speedstep, all ok. But when i go in sleep mode, the pc return to wake yourself! If i shutdown the pc.... the pc power off and after 2 seconds power-on yourself! Without dsdt:graphic, audio, network, speedstep, all ok. Same problem with sleep mode.... but shutdown work correctly, the power-off and rest off! Where is the problem in the dsdt? And why my system wakeup yourself? vdmesis
Audio use HDEF Gigabyte Apply ALC889 if this fails use HDAEnabler SATA yep the old problem look it http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=257496 maybe this will help Hello Maldon I was trying my best for two days and gave up. I cant make audio work. I dont understand why patched dsdt for P8P67 enable audio for this mobo and dsdt for my mobo which you gave me doesnt work. It is the same chip ALC889. The same with second part. I failed. I read all topic about esata and tried to copy/paste some lines but received errors. I think I give up. Anyway.. Thank you very much for your help. Its amazing that you are helping so many people here. Im waiting for your Auto Patcher updated with my mobo. Good luck!

MaLd0n
... Extra.zip read about it does not help much you use DSDT and have a stuffed Extra i searched everything for "OpenHaltRestart" to remove it - but i could not find it Extensions.mkext? You're Welcome MaLd0n the Magnificent, I have a question when you get time. I am replacing my E8400 CPU with a Q9650 in the very near future, will the DSDT.aml require any editing to get the most out of the new processor and it's two additional cores? send me DSDT
longtom
Thanks! One problem though, coming out of sleep, computer spins up, then crashes and I get nasty CMOS errors. Keyboard won't even respond to let me get into bios until about 5 restarts. Any suggestions? Lion install? See CMOS reset
paulpeno
Hi Maldon thanks for the reply, Here is the info for my HP DV5 1183cl. I have everything up and running in 10.6.8 apart from my left usb, webcam and the jmicron card reader. I can get the webcam and usb working intermittently if i force hpet in chameleon so I am assuming that it is an IRQ problem in HPET causing this, also i cannot wake from sleep. As I am a mac newb i have no idea about DSDT files or how to go about correcting things so I would be extremely grateful of your help. Many thanks in advance. jedi_shaman
Mald0n, You're a real hero in this scene got bless you. It works WAY better than the dsdt I hacked up tonight. However, I got the onboard audio to work(ALC889) to work using a patch from : dsdt fixes I replaced applehda with a bin patched one Couldn't get the digital out from the spdif motherboard header to pass through the video card's hdmi, but maybe the patch is just not complete and I'm a noob in dsdt's So the dsdt tentatively works, and I'm in LION. Like the previous poster said though, that rtc issue is annoying, is there any way all dsdt's could be weaponized against this? I included the patch I found to the dsdt you provided if you want to have a look. Also a new "send me" using this dsdt. Thanks for your time, dsdt.aml renamed to txt for upload send_me.zip dsdt_edit_v01.txt
