Is anyone working on an AbiWord universal binary? AbiWord is a great little (small 5-10mb) replacement for Microsoft Word.  The PPC version runs just fine, just very very very slow.  I dont know anything about porting the software to universal, but AbiWord is open source and has linux/bsd/unix, os x, and windows versions of the program along with the source code available at their website, http://www.abisource.com/

This would be a perfect alternative for the MS Office 2004 SP2 Word users, and everyone else looking for a small free word processing program for osx86.

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but how about porting Generator, an open source Genesis emulator which runs under Mac OS X, Linux and Windows, to Mac OS X x86? I can use the PPC version however the image is severely corrupted (looks very "green").

"MACAM" WEBCAM PROGRAM/DRIVER

Anyone up for trying to compile macam as a UB?  This is an open source project for a driver and program to let USB webcams (like a Logitech) work under OS X.  The program operates the cam directly, or the driver can feed the cam as a Quicktime capture device.  It is current enough to run on 10.4 PPC.  The project is on sourceforge as webcam-osx, but I've zipped the sources to make it easier for anyone who wants to try compiling it . . .

Limewire does not make sense. First it will be only share legit
copies in a few month, and second: USE ACQLITE :(

It is the same, but lightyears better. and it is running perfect.

i would really want a universal flash plugin, rosetta safari mode is no fun :)  has any of our lovely developers try the plugin from the 10.4.3 update?  I guess it is probably locked to run only 10.4.3.

I know it is a java app. There is not a jar file. Only a dmg... Can you give me step-by-step instructions? My email is blitzny@gmail.com if you would rather email me. Thanks.

Yeah, it works, if you can get your hands on it somehow.

Has anyone ported, or seen a link to a ported Filezilla? This thread seems to indicate someone was working on it at one time, with success:

This is a really good, functional ftp client..thanks
