not working on my radeon mobility 9000.

installed okay. first reboot it kicks into 1024x768 and appears to work okay then on resolution change the screen fades to blue, then purple and i get some weird fade thing going on. rebooting causes the fade to persist when the system comes up. no way to get into the os without removing the kexts in single user mode.

keep up the good work though :D i look forward to future releases!

No CI or QE, as expected, but I can say that the driver at least loads ok on my 200m. Few issues though:

* Resolution change, like with so many others, not working

* System Profiler reports only 16mb memory as opposed to the actual 64 or 128...

But we're getting there, you're doing awesome omni. Keep it up!

This is probably a really really stupid question. I looked at the FAQ, specifically, this:

# How do I get the QE/CI/OpenGL KEXTs to work with Callisto?

Look in your /System/Library/Extensions folder for ATIRadeonXXXX.plugin/ (XXXX depends on your card model). Edit its Info.plist, under IOProviderClass key change IONDRVFramebuffer to CallistoFB, update or delete Extensions.mkext and Extensions.kextcache, then reboot.

I looked in the Extensions folder, but found no ATI files there at all, apart from ATI.kext... any ideas why I can't find it?

I'm using a Radeon 200m, if it makes any difference.

same here about didnt find not ATIRadeonXXXX.plugin inside Extensions Folder

My Asus a9250ge/256m aka Radeon 9250 Pro that OSX recognizes as a 9200 Pro id is 5960

Works here, resolution changes give out of frequency. (Native res works though).

Failure with ATi FireGL T2 128mb (9600 Pro mobile equivilent) on an IBM T41p. System boots, but then cursor turns into a white line and screen is stuck on the grey loading screen with some coruption in the upper left corner (black squares, etc) System keeps loading and by all indications keeps running, display is just corupt.

Could somebody host a backup of whatever was on Omni's site?

I've got a Radeon 9600, and so far people seem to have good results with it. Can't wait for 1680x1050!

I was only aware that he didn't want his source code posted. I didn't know he was against the idea of posting the finished Alpha material too.

I was one of the ones telling others to be impatient up till now, but I guess I got caught up in the hype. ;)

Good work, Omni! Can't wait to see how this driver develops over time.

I'm getting the same problem as rogabean, mmk, and the others. Except I don't have an ATi Radeon 9750, I have a Radeon 9600. It's really weird, because somebody with a 9600 with the device ID 4e50 had it working perfectly. Mine has a device ID of 4e51 and it fails to display the login window.

Same symptoms as the others. The mouse cursor pops up and becomes a white rectangle, and the login window never appears but you can hear the system running things.

It seems a fairly common enough problem to focus on for the next driver release. There must be something about our cards, even though the models are very different.

(ATi 9600. Device ID: 4e51. Connection type: DVI. Monitor: Dell 2005FPW)

This on laptop with 1280x800 native LCD

When trying to switch to 1280x800 from 1024x768,

The screen goes a bit out of sync or range and the

switching back works after a reboot....

The display used to go black with build 1, so this is an

improvement....

Your getting close guys.....

Thanks for all your efforts.....really.....
