yonyz
Hi, I've finished following the guide, and now I need to install my graphics card and audio card. I need to edit the ATIRadeonX2000.kext file to make my graphics card work, but I can't find it in the "Extensions" folder! Also, before installing my audio card's official Mac driver, I would like to be sure that I have EFI and Vanilla kernel installed. I selected to install Vanilla Kernel and EFI bootloader MBR- does that mean that I have EFI and Vanilla Kernel installed? Oh, and I need to find a solution for my Wireless USB Network card. And to find out why my Win XP partition is invisible! ~pcwiz
mcdonald first of all, NOTHING MENTIONED HERE IS A VIRUS. Kindly remember that and get off this thread, many have benefited from it and we don't need you to mess things up. Roarsaur, All I know is that they are seeding betas to developers, should be released sometime soon. I probably will EVENTUALLY update the guide but not right when its released yonyz, The Extensions folder is located in the System >> Library folder of the Leopard partition/drive. For XP, try setting the XP partition as active. Have you updated to 10.5.2 and installed my package? Once you install my package it installs a patched kernel, not a vanilla. It doesn't matter though if you have a patched kernel, it works absolutely fine with everything. For EFI, when the black Loading/Darwin x86 screen comes up, just before it goes to the grey Apple screen something about EFI flashes for a split millisecond. If you can catch that you're OK, but even if you can't, if you got this far you DO have EFI installed. What is your network card? turbo_911, You have a NVIDIA GEFORCE GO graphics card, you need the GO version of NVinject like this: http://nvinject.free.fr/files/NVinjectGo.0.2.0.zip Is that the one you installed? If it doesn't work try this one: http://nvinject.free.fr/files/NVinjectGo_0.1.0.zip Islander, What turbo_911 says is right, just burn the ISO. yonyz
I found out yesterday, that my audio card doesn't have a driver for Intel Mac's, as they don't have PCI card slots, and the Juli@ card is a PCI one. I wanted OSX for Music Production with Apple Logic, but I can't work with a onboard sound card. I may try Hackintosh again, when I'll have a supported audio card. Thanks for your help, ~pcwiz and macciti. ~pcwiz
yonyz, Glad you were with us If you want, look in the wiki, I believe there are some good M-Audio cards that are supported longtom, Restart and shutdown works with the netkas kernel, the vanilla kernel works, but no restart and shutdown. I personally prefer the netkas kernel, it works as good as vanilla. There are no issues as of now other than some minor sleep issues but thats about it Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/90795-guide-installer-leopard-gigabyte-ga-p35-ds3pds3rds4-1052-efi/page/21/#findComment-714190 Share on other sites

One more thing, since no one replied to my other thread, does anyone knows why my cpu fan is always on? oh and also the cpu says that its dual core but in the properties it shows only one core... oh and btw here is that thread with more info and pictures what I mean about the dual core thing... http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry713592 Thanks for help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/90795-guide-installer-leopard-gigabyte-ga-p35-ds3pds3rds4-1052-efi/page/21/#findComment-714557 Share on other sites
~pcwiz
What do you mean CPU fan is always on? It is supposed to be on, otherwise your CPU overheats...is it a different fan? PS. I notice that you are using a Dell, this thread is only for installations on Gigabyte P35 motherboards, there may be other problems with your Dell setup. ~pcwiz
Thanks Mebster , I looked at his profile and he has other similar posts like this where he does stuff just for the sake of attracting attention (e.g. Making 3 copies of a topic called "I swear it works" where he asks for help for his NOT WORKING system ) EDIT: macgirl, I have no clue what he means, either way he is somehow implying that something mentioned in this thread (Don't know what, but some kernel, Kalyway, NVinject, or my Gigabyte P35 installer probably) is a VIRUS. Which it is clearly not. I don't like it when people like him attempt to ruin a helpful thread Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/90795-guide-installer-leopard-gigabyte-ga-p35-ds3pds3rds4-1052-efi/page/21/#findComment-714810 Share on other sites
