I managed to get Kalyway 10.5.1 to boot and install with cpus=1 but I'd like to try the modded bios. Here is my latest bios from Asus site: http://dlsvr03.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/F8P/F8SAP302AS.zip CPU Intel C2D T5550 1.83 CHIPSET INTEL GM965 VIDEOCARD Ati HD2400 3 Gb Ram (that shouldn't be a problem right?) Would anyone or the great Kabyl mod my bios? I would really appreciate it or give me some guides or instructions to mod it myself or if Kabyl has released his kext??? Thank you Scratch my request! I own a MSI P6N SLi Platinum - as you can see in my signature - and I´m using iATKOS R3 version but I can´t go on with that. Mysticus - a member from the forum - told me this is caused by bad bios from MSI mobos. So my question is: how can I fix that ? He told me there´s a patch for MSI badbios mobo´s but I don´t know how it works and if it works with iATKOS R3 version. Where can I find this patch? thnx 4 the attenttion. glitchbit Posted May 16, 2008 Share Posted May 16, 2008 Well, it's not about the tools, it's that I didn't find the _cause_ of the issue.. and I wonder why people don't read at least the first post. I modified most of the BIOSes posted in the last 3 pages, and found that I've already did some of them (lazy people are wasting my time), so I decided to make things more organized by keeping the files in one place.. I will post a link once it's done. I see... so even a kext file that corrects the DSDT on the fly might not fix them Dells since the cause might be something different? I figured it was mainly just an issue with not having tools to read them and package them, but I guess there apparently are some tools that can. PC specs: Intel Q6600, G31, Nvidia 7200GS PCI-E I decompiled the DSDT table using iasl under Linux and I saw those alias entries for the CPUs... unfortunately I can't seem to figure out how exactly to replace it in the AMI bios... I was one of the first guys posting a request and i'm not flodding like if there's no tomorrow. You have to wait like everyone else! Kabyl may not even feel like modding bioses. Have you seen the amount of requests posted since his last message? He doesn't even have to answer our requests. Be patient and you'll hopefully get your mod.
