  1. I use stock wifi kexts, only with the atheros injector. You can try my DSDT, just add the dual link patch
  2. No problem here's my SLE folder (note, this is from 10.9) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3112503/Extensions.zip Most of the kexts I used from first post, like battery kexts, Fn keys kext, and PS2 kexts. Intel HD kexts are stock maverick kexts, except they're modified to suppport VGA display port. IONetworkingFamily is bone stock, I just use Atheros injector kext. VoodooHDA for the audio and Modified AICPUPM.kext+DSDT+SSDT for the power management (fully working sleep) I'm using newest version of Chameleon bootloader.
  3. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3112503/Extra.zip just don't use my ssdt, as you're going to get KP. and yes, sleep is working
  4. yes, only USB 3.0 kexts are not working with Mavericks. But I don't use it so dunno if there are any compatible kexts
  5. Today I've successfully updated to Mavericks created bootable USB with myHack, copied my smbios.plist to usb's /Extra/ folder and that's all! you may need to backup your Extra folder as myHack can try to overwrite it and it's not possible to boot without correct smbios.plist (8,1 or 8,2). Actually even when installing 10.8 you don't need to replace any Intel HD kexts, just copy correct smbios to Extra folder
  6. it's not over clocking, we're just using native Turbo Mode, which you get in Windows. We get more CPU speed states, so transitions between them is more smooth, so you get smother user experience and better battery life. With no native CPU management I had only 2 states 800mhz and 2500mhz, now I have 7 states, ranging from 800mhz to 2900mhz (1200, 1600 and so on). The only problem is that my CPU has turbo boost of 3.1ghz (that's what i get in windows) and in OSX I get only 2.9ghz. I have dual core CPU with 2 physical cores and 2 software cores, so Activity Monitor shows 4 graphs and they all have some activity. As you have quad core cpu, you should have 8 graphs in Activity Monitor. Try using my guide to achieve native CPUPM and your problem will be gone (it should be)!
  7. By native I mean Apple AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext Therefore you won't need NullCPUPowerManagement.kext and SleepEnabler.kext For the battery I use kexts which are attached to the first post, from the folder "Batarya" so, the how to: 1. Download this archive: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3112503/AICPUPM.zip it contains patched AICPUPM.kext, correct FakeSMC.kext with plugins for monitoring and SSDT script, for generating your own. 2. Generate your own SSDT and compile it according to this guide: Guide for generating your own SSDT I have 2450m, so I have entered: sudo ./ssdtPRGen.sh 35 3100 TDP=35w and 3100 comes from - max frequency (2500mhz) + max turbo states * 100 (6*100). So in that way we get 2500+600=3100 Finally put your generated SSDT to Extra folder. Make sure it's the correct SSDT as otherwise you'll get KP. 3. Edit your DSDT. Here's the patch, just apply it using DSDT editor (copy the whole code into text file). This patch is only for SANDY BRIDGE laptops. Compile your DSDT and save it to the Extra folder. # Change methods _STA and _CRS into device HPET (to avoid AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement panic) # into method label _STA parent_hid PNP0103 remove_entry; into device name_hid PNP0103 insert begin Method (_STA, 0, NotSerialized)\n {\n Return (0x0F)\n } end; into method label _CRS parent_hid PNP0103 remove_entry; into device name_hid PNP0103 insert begin Method (_CRS, 0, NotSerialized)\n {\n Return (BUF0)\n } end 4. Now delete from /S/L/E and /E/E NullCPUPowerManagement.kext - this is a essential step as you will get KP if you won't and also SleepEnabler.kext and EvOReboot.kext 5. Delete old FakeSMC and AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement kexts (make sure you don't have them in /E/E too) 6. Using Kext Utility app (or any such app of your choice) install the given AICPUPM.kext and FakeSMC.kext 7. Edit your org.chameleon.boot.plist (using chameleon wizard), check 'DropSSDT' and uncheck 'Generate C/P-States' 8. Make sure you have done everything as I wrote and restart. Just to be sure first few times boot with -F flag. To check if everything works, use MSRDumper.kext or HWMonitor app. and if you get KP in the beginning - it's AICPUPM.kext's fault, if you get KP just before desktop - it's SSDT's fault (you're using the wrong one) Good luck! I have to say though that I can't achieve full Turbo Boost, only 2.9Ghz, not 3.1Ghz. Anyway it is still better than 2.5Ghz with NullCPUPowerManagement
  8. I also have successfully updated to 10.8.5. Just update broke my AICPUM as I was using patched version of this kext. If anyone is interested I could post instructions on how to achieve native CPU management with Turbo Boost.
  9. Anyone had any luck with 10.8.5? I was having hard time with the VGA, finally when I got it working, I was constantly stuck on login or desktop screen (couldn't move or press anything)
  10. Hey guys. So I've installed ML into my asus n53sm(i5-2450m, hd3000+630m) everything went well, installed all needed kexts, dsdts, ssdts and etc. After using few days I've decided to fiddle with the optimus technology as I've seen someone getting it working. So I started playing with different dsdts and kexts, after some experiments I've started to get KP's at boot, so I was unable to boot into single user mode and as my USB stick with ML installation isn't working anymore, I had no choice, just booting up Ubuntu. So I've mounted my hfs+ partition in ubuntu, tried reverting the changes - unluckily. As I got bored to search for the same websites everytime I boot ubuntu, I decided to install it. Some time later I finally managed to revert all changes to OSX, configure GRUB2 to boot chimera, aaaaand I started to get "Still waiting for root device" thingy... Things I've tried: 1)fiddling with BIOS 2)rd=diskXsY 3)countless other boot options 4)changing AHCI kexts 5)trying to repair kext permissions from linux (dunno if that works) So, what would your suggestions be? btw, here's list of kext's I used when I was trying to get optimus working: AppleAHCIPort.kext AppleHWSensor.kext AppleIntelHD3000Graphics.kext AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext AppleLPC.kext AppleMCCSControl.kext AppleSDXC.kext AppleUpstreamUserClient.kext GeForce.kext IO80211Family.kext IOAHCIFamily.kext IONetworkingFamily.kext IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext IOUSBFamily.kext NVDAResman.kext PXHCD.kext I have removed new or restored original kexts afterwards, but anyways. edit:shoot, this should be in post-installation section... edit2: managed to create bootable usb install from linux, repaired permissions and disk, everything works fine!
  11. Sorry, didn't have enough time to read all, quick question, did anybody get this working on mobility HD 2xxx series? Thanks in advance!
  12. ATI Mobility RADEON HD 2600 HELP

My results: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...ry1069094\ You can read the whole thread, but that would be useless, you won't get it working, first of all you have to be some kind of programmer, not just a simple person. Just give up as all of us did, or maybe you're a donkey so you still can try getting it workin, anyways good luck!
  13. Driver for Mobility Radeon HD2400XT (DevID:0x94c8)

no, there's no other solution, forget about osx or use external display
  14. ATI Moblity Radeon HD 3650 on iDeneb 1.3

sorry, but we are very far away, so all who have ati mobility hd (except toshibas) can forget about osx or you can live with low res
