Rackball
@Dariog78 - There is work being done elsewhere on this, at the same time, if you had looked through almost 900 posts, you would have noticed this already...I agree with Wyzazz's and the_29's post about 10-15 pages prior...if everyone wants to come to this topic and only wants to know what is being done for QE/CI, he has all the right to vent... @Wyzazz/the_29 - I have looked around and tried to install almost every other valid AMD distro but Leo4All V2 still comes out on top - I am not a super techie like you guys are but I would wait for something to come by which is validated by better folks like you...and the work put in by Yellow and so on... @For all the noobs who post here...maybe you all should try other distro's and post your experiences and that would help before posting something like "Anything going on with QE/CI"? I also saw a post from Rackball who is inviting people to join his forum....however, my comments on that is that maybe he should update this topic with his experiences and what he has been trying to do from his side than trying to run parallel forums...This topic is by far the best you can find on TX1000/2000... I have been patient and will be patient...so far I have a usable installation with V2...If you all are that impatient, maybe just go buy a real mac, I am sure some of us have a few dollars to spare lol I'm a noob look man you don't know who I am and what I know so don't judge me cause I wanted to run a forum I was just trying to help get a solution to the problem not critcize people I have even helped Bhast2 himself back when he had the Leo4all forum I was Mod. I would spend countless hours researching tring to find solutions but came to the conclusion that QE/CI is not cappable on shared memeory graphic cards. I have tried EFI string injection just to name the closest so DON'T call me a noob because you obviusly don't have a clue to who I am. The only reason I ask is because I know that I'm not the only one that is tring to get QE/CI and that mabey someone came closer than I but as I can see its not going any where. Rackball
its just because you included me in the noobs part but thats ok we were all noobs at one point never give up hope everyday we hopefully will be one step closer the thing is that the29 and if I recall American yellow were supposed to help with qe/ci but I never here word from them that is y I ask because American yellow a couple pages back that he was gonna make a wiki for this problem did he do it, no did I want to help, yes if not enough really smart people that know this very well on how to make kexts and stuff QE/Ci is not possible you see the answers there but no one wants to reach for it because its too hard and too much work if I knew more about kexts I would spend all my free time tring to make one for the TX beleive me Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/87077-hp-tx1000z-tablet-compatibility-with-leopard/page/39/#findComment-1053810 Share on other sites
edmondt
First time tester on the TX1000 using Leo4All v4.1. Everything works better than I thought~! Touchscreen and Ink works Native Resolution works Ethernet, Wireless works Sound works Battery Boot works Things that are not working for me include: Sleep, I guess it is related to the QE/CI QE/CI Support Two finger scrolling (followed instructions from the install guide pdf). Question: Is there any work around to get sleep to work using another type of sleep? Is there a way to get the scrolling to work? fdboy
Wait battery boot how? and how long does it take to battery boot? I can do battery boot, but only at the half speed (on a tx2K with 10.5.5 toh kernel). For this 1) install the Chameleon bootloader 2) press F9 at boot, then choose the hard drive to boot. Tested ACPICPUThrottle for AMD, it showed the change of freqs, but not really worked. Guess this is the bios bug. But I am interested in learning there would be a solution. gguky2
I can't get OSX86 to start up on my HP tx2110. Can someone help me troubleshoot this, or refer me to posts that might address this issue? I've read through the 48 pages (all of them) in this topic and not sure if any of them address this. Not sure about a lot of what they are talking about... The later posts say its all working so that gives me some hope. Thanks! Here's how it breaks down: 1. Resized the windows partition to create unformatted 40GB partition 2. Downgraded firmware to F4 3. Burned LEO4ALL to DVD and installed OSX per the specifications.on tx200z, tapping the power button etc. 5. On restart followed directions to hold f9 to select HD....this is where the problems started. Wouldn't startup using the OSX or Vista. "No Operating System Found" 6. Restarted with the Leo4All DVD and reinstalled the OSX. Install showed that the OS was on the disk.Same problem. 7. Restarted and formatted the drive and reinstalled. Same problem. 8. Used the Vista Anytime Upgrade DVD to repair the Startup. 9. Vista starts up normally. Noticed that the Mac partition doesn't show up in Vista, should it? 10. Installed Easy BCD to try to get a choice of OS at startup, added Generic OSX86 Mac. 11. Restarted with EasyBCD selected NST Mac OSX... immediate restart. Update - I checked my version of Leo4all -- it was v2, with 10.5.2., and i saw from the last few posts that v4.1 is out. Downloading it to try. no we still need qe/ci and battery boot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/87077-hp-tx1000z-tablet-compatibility-with-leopard/page/39/#findComment-1089882 Share on other sites

tsogoo
Hi to all, Here is some news. I have installed Leo4All, using guide in this topic. And added Some fixes and packages from new Ideneb v1.4. And there is no more problems about double tap, F9 select boot and battery boot. There are some cpu halt, and shut down problems. And still needs QE/CI fix. my installed packages BatteryManager.pkg FireWire_Remove.pkg idlehalt_Fix.pkg PowerOff_Fix.pkg seatbelt_fix.pkg kernel-9.5.0-Voodoo.pkg Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/87077-hp-tx1000z-tablet-compatibility-with-leopard/page/39/#findComment-1100917 Share on other sites

geebake
Hi, Complete newbie here. I've just recently decided to try to hackintosh my TX1000. Needless to say, this thread had been tremendously useful. I used LEO4ALL V4.1 and have OSX running very well. In fact, I have the machine triple booting between Vista, OS10.5.4 and Ubuntu Lynux. Vista and Ubuntu work perfectly. OSX works well, minus the usual I guess. I got the display working at 1280 X 800 and sound worked right off the bat. After some effort, I got Lan working. The biggest problem I have is no wireless. It acts as if it should work. The OS reports that Airport is on. Not only does it not discover any networks, but it also won't work when I enter one manually. Am I missing a kext or something? It seems that others have wifi working. Now the big question(s). Is there any way to upgrade to OS 10.5.6? I'd even be happy to buy a retail OSX disk to accomplish this, if it's possible. Thanks so much for all the help, past and future. geebake
Just thought I'd add a bit more to this. I have NOT been able to get the built in wireless working which was starting to be a real deal breaker for me. On a lark I went out and picked up one of these: http://www.trendnet.com/products/proddetai...424UB&cat=3 It was only $20 and came with a $10 rebate so I thought, what the heck. It works perfectly. There is a Mac package at TrendNets website that makes this thing work instantly. One interesting thing is that it actually looks like ethernet in the network settings. I've successfully used secured and non secured networks with it. At this point, aside from a few power management issues and lack of double tap on the pad, I think everything is working. I haven't tried the web cam, but it worked in setup when it asked me to take a picture of myself. The only real concern now is 10.5.6. I sure would like to upgrade. Does anyone have any notion how to do this? I'd also love to know how this machine stacks up against a real macbook. The XBench numbers seem a little confusing to me. gfrichmond
I successfully installed leo4all v4.1 on my tx1020ea and it's much faster than v2 on my 16GB USB Stick. Here shortly what i've done. First install with the notes some posts before: Second: Install the following out of the29's tx1000 pack: 3x NV* (nvidia) nForcEthernetDriver appleps2controler Touchkit To fix WLAN (dv6420laPack.zip): http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...st&id=29687 both ACPI kexts with kexthelper. Hope, this helps someone. Thanks for this, it worked really well. I now have my little tx1000 dual booting windows 7 and osx. I just have 1 problem and a few questions: 1: Can't get the sound to work. Is there any other way to set up sound as the bios downgrade crashed on me? Got it working, but not the headphones yet. 2. Does the AMD update work? Or is it limited to certain things? 3. Is there a way of supporting external screens properly? (extend rather than duplicate) 4. How can I swap the @ and " keys?
