erbic
AOL abandoned us. Don't expect anything from them anytime soon. Have you tried Adium? It's free, open-source, has multi-network support, and is very customizable. sg
adium seems very unstable on my vaio. seems like if i run another program with it, it crashes and wants to relaunch after a little bit considering everyone else doesnt have these problems, its like you doing something wrong or your system being really fk'ed up. sg
Well when i had AIM it did that but this doesnt!!why isnt AOL making AIM updates any way? o well this is better they likely dont have the resources or time. adium has a lot of devs working on it. ever since osx came out (10.0), the unofficial aim clients have been the best quality over official AIMs apps and even windows counterparts (Fire, Proteus, Adium, etc). Colonel
People use the official AIM client? I've always used Adium and Pidgin/Gaim. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/84946-who-thinks-we-need-an-aim-update/#findComment-604898 Share on other sites
cmaus@mac.com
Unnecessesary! ICQ is the only one that hasn't had any update in the last 5 years... iChat is the number one messenger in the world, and guess what - it's based on AIM!!! Anyway, there IS a new AIM-Client for Mac: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/5686/aim.app Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/84946-who-thinks-we-need-an-aim-update/#findComment-605385 Share on other sites

X-Ray Mac
Id use Adium, but for some reason it stopped logging me into my MSN messenger (and we all know the one microsoft provides is HORRIBLE) and it lacks video chat which I use, so for now I'm with iChat.
