I am having the exact same problem with iTunes, although the error is 11333 when I try to authorize my computer. It worked just fine in 10.4.9, but now it doesn't work. I also have a problem where some settings don't get saved (like keyboard preferences) occasionally and have to be reconfigured every couple restarts. I have deleted all the keychains so the system would recreate them, but I'm not sure what else to try.

It may be kernel related as I'm having the same problem with this release and it doesn't occur with JaS 10.4.8 with upgrade to PascalW 10.4.10. I also cannot register my CS3 Production Premium software with Adobe using this release, nor can I register my Final Cut Studio 2 software with Apple under this release. Both keep telling me there is a connection error, yet I can access the internet easily and all Adobe automatic updates work.

Think Kalyway /developers have to have a look at this.

Replacing CFMSuport not only solved Office and Spyder2 installation probems it solved CS3 stuff install trouble also probably.

I say probably because i've not tested to instal CS3 before replacing CFMSuport.

I did a clean install and did NOT installed CS3 fix then installed full Adobe CS3 very fast.

Would be great if sameone try to instal kalyway 10.4.10 without cs3 fix and before replacing CFMSuport try to install Adobe CS3 leting us know if succed.

easy

just replace your kalyway 10.4.10 CFMSuport folder located in /System/Library with one from any working 10.4.10 or 10.4.9 intallation.

repair permissions

reboot

Just installed v1.1, I think it's working fine but...

 

there's still a problem with the keychain and safari: still no https, forced to use firefox.

 

i found where is the problem :

 

in the folder /System/Library/Keychains there are 2 files :

-X509Anchors

-X509Certificates

 

they are truncated. i replaced them with those from my 10.4.9 and everything works again : messenger, https in safari and maybe Itunes store( but i have not tested this one).

I can confirm that this works and fixes the problems with iTunes. Didn't even require a restart. Although I would assume its still a good idea to repair permissions. I wonder if this will fix my problems with the keyboard modifier keys not getting saved.

Thanks, just replacing X509Anchors enables me to use https again !

 

I still have 2 small problems:

- battery icon is not displayed (though it does within the installer) even after install PowerManagement.bundle;

- I copied IONetworkFamily.kext from 10.4.6 for my ethernet card, but I wasn't able to connect to SMB/CIFS volumes. After patching to IONetworkFamily.kext 10.4.8 from installer, Network folder doesn't show anything anymore.

 

Anyway, nice to have 10.4.10+8.10.3 on intel :thumbsup_anim:

I've just burnt "Mac OsX 10.4.10 installer v1.0 by Kalyway", can someone explain me how to install it, or indicate a guide in osx86 wiki?My Pc is:ASUS P4P800E DELUXEINTEL P4 PRESCOTT 3.0GHZSAMSUNG 120GB SATAASUS GEFORCE4 MX4000.Oooops...now I have Winzooz XP Pro installed in without any partiotion. THANX

BJMoose I wanna install this on my badaxe 2 board as well... Does any of the sound patches work like AppleHDA. Also how about the interenet ? One last question sorry. Is it worth using instead of my tiger ?

Sorry it took so long to reply. Couldn't get into this forum for some reason this morning. As you've been reading, Kalyway has a couple of small quirks, but is a very good install and appears a bit more responsive than others. Ethernet works out of the box. No need to check anything unless you're using CS3, then I'd install the appleSMBIOS.kext v1.06 that's been floating around this forum. Sound works with Taruga's patch plus Stac_9274 file. No mic though. I've overcome this by simply using a Creative Labs 24bit Live USB box. Now I have audio both in and out. No drivers necessary. I don't even use Taruga anymore on my setup.

 

As you may have read in my earlier post, after making the little corrections that have been mentioned throughout this thread, Kalyway works very well. Even though the internet works fine, including on secure sites, I can't seem to register my FCS2 or CS3 software (mine are legit so I usually register them whenever I install to keep the 'register now' pop up window from annoying me). It does accept all updates though...so no big deal.

 

Not sure what you mean about your current Tiger, but JaS with PascalW update and Uphuck v1.4iR3 with Koolkal update works flawlessly on this system too, without the little quirk I mentioned above. Kalyway, however is an all-in-one (except for audio) solution for this board and the quirk is an annoyance but does not affect performance. Hope this helps.

This is now working. It didn't after first reboot, but after another one, power management and networking are working, using the installer patches! :( Good.

Well I gave up on installing this on my Dell M90. Tried me super cheap $600 Walmart Acer Aspire 9410z and everything works right after the install. WireLess works, Lan Works, sound works and so does Video. I looked at buy a new Mac bookbut the prices are so high for what your getting.

 

Remember I am pretty much a noob to Mac OSx. The kalaway install was so simple.

So now that I have Kalaway, 10.4.10 V1.1 runnig I am wodering if someone can post the files to get the HTTPS: work. I don't have another copy of a running 10.4.10 OS so I am unable to copy the files.

 

Also has anyone had any luck getting the built video camera to work..

Everything works perfect, but i can't open the network folder. My other pc sees folder shared by Osx so i wonder if someone could help me to resolve this.

you will be prompted for username and password for Windows PC enter adminstrators credentials and this will kinda map a drive of your Windows shared drive

 

another way to see network is to enable all hidden files and folders

hey dune31 what do I have to do with those KeyChain ?? I didn't know I had to replace them too, just for the record is it necessary?

This is my report using Kalyway V1.1

Core2Duo E6750, Asus P5WDH (bios 2206), 7600GT 256Mb, 160 SATA HDD, PATA DVD, Keyboard&mouse USB, 2x500Gb SATA RAID 0 on EZ_RAID connectors and setup in BIOS

 

I choose:

Drivers VGA: Natit 0.2

System: AppleSMBIOS, SATA Support, Azalia Audio, IONetworking

Others by default (nice selection of appz!)

 

Nice look & Works fine! (Xbench 174 with RAID 0)

 

Post installation patches that I needed:

- Taruga's ALC882 Sound Fix v0.4b for AUDIO IN:
