Optimized Firefox for Intel

Tried your new 2.0.0.6 on my iHack Core 2 Duo as Beatnikpad has just 2.0.0.5. Still same high CPU demand while using smooth scrolling feature. (See problem here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=58771 )

Two questions though:

1) How are updates handled?? Eg. if Mozilla pushes out a 2.0.0.7, your build seems official enough, but would such an update overwrite an Optimized component for a 'regular' component on Firefox?

2) Is their any difference btwn your optimization methods and Beatnikpads'? Usual -03, etc etc

Thanks

I never tried this Firefox optimized for Intel but, I do know that Seamonkey which is a browser based on the same Mozilla platform is quite faster than Firefox. In fact, it load almost as quickly as Safari on my Mac and I can still use Adblock.
