johnniecarcinogen
New binary for Intel's. I kept it official (icon, etc) but it is only meant for official macs and Intel hackintosh's. AMD (athlon 64) coming soon. Should I use the icons I used for 2.0.0.5?
johnniecarcinogen
OK icon changes again and an AMD binary (optimized for athlon64 - if requests are made I may be able to...).
Aluminum Sponge
Tried your new 2.0.0.6 on my iHack Core 2 Duo as Beatnikpad has just 2.0.0.5. Still same high CPU demand while using smooth scrolling feature. (See problem here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=58771 ) Two questions though: 1) How are updates handled?? Eg. if Mozilla pushes out a 2.0.0.7, your build seems official enough, but would such an update overwrite an Optimized component for a 'regular' component on Firefox? 2) Is their any difference btwn your optimization methods and Beatnikpads'? Usual -03, etc etc Thanks
johnniecarcinogen
I purposely use when compiling: ac_add_options --enable-update-packaging so that you will receive an update notice with these builds, like normal "official branded ones". (but if you update, you will have a vanilla-mozilla-fizzla)

DavidJavid
The AMD64 version gave me a pretty amazing speed increase. I always thought that the 30 secs it took before were abnormally long. Now it's like 4 secs. WHOO!

cekay
Hi, I was wondering if you could possibly compile K-Meleon the same way. K-Meleon exists only for the Win32 Platform but uses the GEcko engine and you can get the Source Files from its Sourceforge page. http://sourceforge.net/projects/kmeleon/ Thanks

Nico3d3
I never tried this Firefox optimized for Intel but, I do know that Seamonkey which is a browser based on the same Mozilla platform is quite faster than Firefox. In fact, it load almost as quickly as Safari on my Mac and I can still use Adblock.
