  1. I'm looking for a cheap wireless card I could use with my laptop. I'd use either PCMCIA or USB card because the native Intel 2200BG card isn't working and I tried everything to make it work (iwi2200 and project camphor driver). What would be the best card?

Quand j'essais la commande sudo kextload pour installer le VoodooHDA.kext, j'obtiens le message: "failed to load - (libkern/kext) request architecture/executable not found; check the system/kernel logs for errors"

  5. boot1 error

Got it! If you encounter the same problem while trying to install Snow Leopard, try using Chameleon 2.0RC3 instead of RC1
  6. boot1 error

I tried all to activate the partition (verified in Linux to make sure it was really activated). Then I used Master Chief method with my iatkos DVD but it did not change anything. I also checked to make sure my partition is not case-sensitive but nothing worked. Is there any other solutions to install Snow Leopard on an Asus P5L-VM? I tried to ask the same question in the Snow Leopard forum but my post always get deleted because supposedly a solution already exist? What's the purpose of insanely mac if you can't find solutions for your problem? The only solutions I found were the one from this post here and as I already said, they didn't work.
  7. I tried everything to get this damn computer to communicate with my Windows XP laptop! First, I activated file sharing using FTP, but then I wasn't able to see anything else than the home folder of the OS X user even, if I added others shared folders from my second hard drive. Then, I tried to use SMB as described on this thread but I can't even see the shared folders on Windows. I'm trying to get this to work over a Dlink router so I figured it could be the culprit. Do I have to activate port forwarding for a specific port? Edit, now I can see it but, the OK box is grayed out in Windows when I try to connect to it.
  8. Limewire Unexpectedly Quits

Same problem here, it all started when I installed the Java_update4 for OS X 10.5. I guess it's something related to the Java engine. Probably, the new security update for Java, broke support of Limewire. I even tried with a newer version Limewire and there's still no go
  9. 10.5.7 Released

I used the combo update on my Core2duo. It crashed with the "restart your computer message" at the end of the installation. I expected the worse but I hoped for the best. I simply restarted my computer and I was able to boot it. Now, I'm retrying it with netkas's method, you need to use this script while the installation is in progress: while sleep 1 ; do rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/AppleTyMCEDriver.kext ; done Edit: after a reinstall using netkas's script, it's working flawlessly, I just need to reinstall audio because right now the system is trying to play audio through my bluetooth connexion.
  10. No FireWire after 10.5.6 update

What did you do to create your modified DSDT? If my solution for ethernet ever stop working, I may try yours... It happened to me once, that I had ethernet with 10.5.6 but after a reboot, I lost it, that's when I tried to install DSDT with new HPET option.
  11. No FireWire after 10.5.6 update

This happened to me too. My ViaRhine network card was working correctly, then suddendly it stopped working after a reboot. I solved the problem by reinstalling dsdt.aml with the "New HPET Option"
  12. No FireWire after 10.5.6 update

I lost Firewire too, but I don't really care since I wasn't using it anyway. Let's see if someone can find a permanent fix.
  13. I installed succesfully 10.5.6 after installing PC_efi v9 and patching dsdt but then, I got stuck with no network. ViaRhine.kext was loaded correctly, but it showed a message telling me that the network cable wasn't connected. Figuring it could be caused by the dsdt patch, I reinstalled dsdt without the new_HPET option, but now, my usb bluetooth stick isn't recognized anymore.I have an Asus P5L-VM.
  14. Question très bête !

  15. CS4 And OSx86

Installed correctly here too. I'm using the vanilla smbios and vanilla kernel.
