  1. Craigs list?

If you're buying off craigslist.. if it's not local and you can't see and test it out before handing the cash.. don't do it because it's 99% a scam if they ask for PayPal or some other form of money other than cash. That said.. I bought my Aluminum Macbook for $1150 on Craigslist when they retailed for $1299 + tax back in November 2008. So you can get good deals.. just do it locally.

  3. New Macbook

Are u guys sure you get 6 hours of actual usage on the battery? I think I get like 3-4 hours while web surfing on my 2.0 ghz Macbook Alu. Did they give the 2.4 Ghz models a bigger battery?
  4. The New 13" Aluminum MacBook

I recently got a new Macbook Aluminum.. it's really nice. I traded in my Dell Vostro laptop that was fully loaded in specs and dropped down in specs in order to get the low end Macbook, but the build quality and being able to use OS X without any modifications makes it worth it even though I had to end up spending like $500 more for a lower specced laptop.
  5. ATI Radeon HD pkg installers 10.5.x & 10.6

I'm looking for this for my Asus EAX HD3450 PCI-E card. Is there a package out for it already?
  6. Opinions on Macbooks?

I got the 2.0 ghz and it works great for me. Unless you're doing something pretty processor intensive like 3D rendering or Video Encoding, I doubt you'd ever notice a faster processor. But if you're hardcore and want that extra 2 seconds to open an app, then go for the 2.4!
  7. Ok.. I broke down and got a new Macbook Aluminum. I've had various Hackintoshes and an Intel Mac Mini and I never thought I'd spend the cash on a Macbook since they're kind of expensive, but the latest Macbook is just soooooo well built and the 9400m just threw me over the edge. It's so nice. I've been using Ubuntu for pretty much the past 2 years and I still consider myself more of a Windows user than a Mac... but maybe that'll change now. A few questions I have for Mac owners, what applications do you install and use? And also, do you guys use a screen protector on it?

  9. Dell Inspiron Mini 9 ?

But if you ask it on here.. everyone can see the answer so we don't have a million ppl asking u the same question.
  10. Dell Inspiron Mini 9 ?

I already do this on a 8gb USB flash drive.. it still hangs.. and takes a while to load up. But otherwise works like normal.

  12. Dell Inspiron Mini 9 ?

I've installed mine on a 8gb usb flash drive with iDenab 10.5.5 and it boots fine and shuts down fine.. no errors. When I close the lid, it does go to sleep.. I see the power LED flashing, but when I open up the lid, it stays on the spinning beachball. I don't know much about the Boot321 method, so I'm not sure how to do that. I'm gonna try that Insomnia program though. Edit: Ok.. it looks like InsomniaX does the trick.. now when I close the lid it doesn't go to sleep! It just shuts the LCD off. When I open it back up everything still works. Does anyone know how I can make it start up automatically after startup? Also.. I don't know if this was mentioned before, but I think the little battery meter shows the correct amount of battery time left on my laptop too... At least it's moving downward.. and started around 3 hours. Edit again: It looks like if I shut down on battery power, it doesn't shut down all the way.. but plugged in it does.
  13. Dell Inspiron Mini 9 ?

I used iDenab 10.5.5 and it looks like the only things needed are Sleep and Speedstep. Otherwise, it works pretty good. Although I'm also running it off a USB flash drive which is butt slow. Also.. does anyone know how to disable it from going to sleep when I close the lid? If I could do that, I think I'd be ok with it not actually sleeping for now.
  14. Dell Inspiron Mini 9 ?

What options did you guys select with the iDenab 10.5.5 disk? Just the Intel chipset?
  15. Dell Inspiron Mini 9 ?

Does your brother have the STEC or Intel SSD? I haven't tried to install OSx86 on my 8gb STEC yet, but it seems to work fine in Windows XP but I did notice a little lag with writes to disk.
