Alessandro17
As in a higher being or as in other intelligent life in this universe? It is extremely difficult to explain my beliefs in a few sentences (also because I spent about 15 years of my life "searching" ) If anybody has the time and patience, here is what my beliefs are based on: 1)Buddhism http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhism 2)Advaita Vedanta http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advaita_Vedanta 3)Taoism http://www.religioustolerance.org/taoism.htm I didn't find a satisfactory site about Taoism. Similarly, it is always very difficult to find a good translation in a modern Western language of the Tao Te Ching, the main Taoist text. I have found just one, in Italian. Soündless
i am athiest, and i try to respect others choices, and i try not to talk about religeon with my religeous friends for fear of starting an argument (which usualy happens)
G_G
I want to be, but all evidences point to the contrary. And it's easy to bump into someone both religious and fanatical. The same can't be said about someone who doesn't believe in anything, not even the devil.
apowerr
I was raised Catholic (and then later just general Christian, nondenominational of sorts I guess), however now I dont really believe in many Christian things. I do believe in a God. I do believe in being a good person, however in a lot of ways I reject the Christian heaven or hell (based on being "saved" or good deeds). I, like many others in this thread respect the beliefs of others (unless they are a scientologist, then I send them this video: http://theunfunnytruth.ytmnd.com/ )

lord_muad_dib
maybe i should merge this thread with the others(several) asking the same question.... anyways NO i'm not religous, i do respect others feelings but i hate extremism(both from moslem people and christian's)
tomson
I have been reading a few times "extremism", well I also don't support any sort of extremism, which hurts other people, physcally or mentally/emotionaly. But if you think about it, you can achieve something really good (near perfect) only if you are "extreme". And again, not in a way to blow oneself up or kill other people. A programmer stays up two nights in a row to finish a program, isn't that a bit extreme? (just as an example...)
