A Nonny Moose
Safari and Opera coming in with four flaws each. Firefox came in a very distant second with 40 vulnerabilities between 8/06 and 12/06. IE came in third with 92 of them. For all of 2006 though, Firefox and IE are pretty much the same in terms of sucky security. Firefox had 87 flaws and IE had 92 of them. Sabr
I think something that you need to mention is market share too... IE and FF both have a larger share compared to Safari (4.9%). However, Opera had the same amount of flaws with only 0.9%, so I would say Safari is safer than Opera based on those statistics. Interesting to read though... OSXtasy
All I use is Opera, whether I'm in windows/linux or OSX. It's actually a very nice browser, albeit I have to use a different browser for non-supporting webpages (only every once in a while). Embio
wow, thats pretty insightful. Camino rocks!! Though I don't doubt it has as many flaws as Firefox. Zulu.Walker
Camino is my browser of choice, but I use FireFox for some plugins that won't work in Camino. estuardo4
It is a shame that almost nobody take notice of OmniWeb. It is the best browser by far for Mac OSX (IMHO). And it is webkit based. It costs $15, but it is worth the price. GB Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/45889-the-most-secure-browser/#findComment-328995 Share on other sites
