Well, we just got power back up here in Southwest Missouri, where we got several inches of ice. It's been the biggest catatrophe to hit our state, with almost everyone in the south of the state without power, phones, etc. There are tons of limbs and trees all over the roads, and the temps are still hovering at 10 or below.

Anyone else in the Midwest iced under?

Hey, it has been snowing in the San Francisco area with temperatures not getting above 40. Pretty damn cold for CA.

Why is it that the south got hammered, and up here in the northeast we got nothing (specifically the coast, which is my area)?

Do you live in Washington or something?

Not really warming... But yeah, it snowed this morning.

EDIT: My TV keeps doing radio tests, and power is off and on. BTW, the power is off right now, so I am using my cell phone.

No offence to anybody, but why is it that untill great media centers get hit with anything that most people pretend nothing happened. Here in the midwest, we are on our third cold/ice spell of 07. First one hit at the first of the year was smaller caused considerable tree damage and knocked several powerlines, next came a much larger ice storm a week later bringing the powerless to the 10s of thousands. I mean seriously car antenase* had 2" diameter thick ice on them, and during it, I saw powerlines literally jumping about a total of 10 feet. Now we have this one which finally brought snow instead of freezing rain. Still windchills of about -8 arn't fun. Their are people still without power and will continue that way for close to another few weeks leaving them powerless for over a month. I believe that currently in the midwest because of this series of storms the death toll is up to 63. Still I don't understand why It doesn't exist till it happens to you.

I am not unsypathising with the many problems caused to people in this latest most widespread storm.

p.s. I appologize for the spelling/grammer.
