@fredouille, after a quick cleanup of the kext order, the configuration looks generally fine. However, the SMBIOS in use is unclear.

Are you able to run OLCP 2.4.1 under Sequoia?

Additionally,  is there anyone with a Z390 board experiencing similar issues who could provide some insight or assistance?

I did not change much and I expect it still won't work. Seems to be a z390 specific issue. I basically removed the AirportBrcmFixup.kext entries. Everything else was already properly set. Let's see if somebody else with a z390 is of more help in this issue.  Anyway, I don't understand why you need different EFI-Folders for Tahoe and Sequoia. 😉

Well, everything looks fine. However I would do some reordering of the kexts:

Lilu.kext

Whatevergreen.kext (BTW.. I would use 1.7.1d7 by laobamac_yyds instead, you can take it from my EFI-Folder. You can enable the latter also for clean install and OTA Updates)

AppleALC.kext

VirtualSMC.kext

SMCProcessor.kext

SMSuperIO.kext

SMCRadeonSensor.kext (I have issues with this kext, e.g. cannot use -lilubetall with it. For my Radeon VII, it is just useless)

CPUFriend.kext

CPUFriendDataProvider.kext

CPUTopologyRebuild.kext

AMFIPass.kext

IOSkywalkFamily.kext

IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext

IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext/Contents/Plugins/airPortBrcmNIC.kext

USBMap.kext

XHCI-Unsupported.kext (although I don't know the meaning of this kext)

AppleGC.kext

RestrictEvents.kext

Edit: What about your Intel 2.5GB Ethernet, you don't need any kext? Or AppleGC.kext does the job?

Cheers 👍

I updated the built-in OCDP 3.0.0 Open Core from version 1.0.5 to the release version 1.0.6, but this doesn't affect the patches. Everything still works. You can try the new build by downloading it from here. The old one is still here and here. Enjoy. 😊

Note: Before to use OCDP (any versions) you must first Revert Root Paths.

Thanks for the update, man! The new OCLP 3.0.0 version works flawlessly so far - at least I haven’t noticed any changes. Now.. should I change the download link in post 1 or will you merge the last changes to the main branch? Disadvantage of the new link: One needs to be signed in on Github for download. 👍

Hello my savior, thanks again for your precious advices ! I have to admitt that I don't know how to reorder the kexts ! I believed that we were organized by

alphabetical order but it's not the case ! my bad !!

Edit: I don't know if my old mobo have 2.5 G ethernet and don't know also what is apple GC. I will investigate !

Hi @KGP-iMacPro Thanks. But what are the right place for Bluetooth kexts in this reordering list ? Let me know, please.

Just order the kexts like in my respective EFI-Folder for download. Important is Lilu at the first place. The rest is a matter of taste. I usually order the kexts with group wise logics. Bluetooth kexts are only required for Intel Wi-Fi chipsets and follow after IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext/Contents/Plugins/airPortBrcmNIC.kext and AirportItlwm.kext.

Hello friend,

to reorder it's easy , from OCAT; rignt click on kext config and move up or down, add your famous AppleGC.kext and kernel panic before verbose mode was active ! so unable if reorder or new kext was the culpit !! {censored} ! so new install; reorder and add Mieze kext for Ethernet 2.5 Gb ( I check and my mobo is compatible !) but didn't got the glorious speed internet  but it boots so I can't complain. I will keep on invastigating !

thanks again

have a nice snowing day with 5° below 0 !!

The fork itself remains in the same location. Links to the old and new binary artifacts are also available. You can remark this somehow.

Do you need to update the entire set of kexts? Or will users update the ones they need themselves? It's too difficult to download and upload them all.

Hi again,

just for clarity: when you refer to “OCDP”, do you mean the OpenCore binary bundled within OCLP? I am not familiar with “OCDP” as a separate component.

As far as I understand, you only updated the OpenCore binary embedded in OCLP. This should not affect the user’s own OpenCore EFI or any existing patches.

In my EFI folder distribution, I already use OpenCore 1.0.6 together with the latest official releases of Lilu.kext and its dependents, so I see no reason to update anything on my side. The kext versions and their sources are explicitly documented in the Kernel section of my config.plist.

With respect to the fork, I would prefer that the latest version is directly accessible via https://github.com/YBronst/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/releases/tag/3.0.0 while older versions could be archived and accessed elsewhere. Otherwise, things might become unnecessarily complicated.

Cheers,

Intel AX210 (AirportItlwm) vs Broadcom BCM943602CDP under macOS Tahoe

Tested with OCLP 3.0.0 Nightly and OCLP-Mod 3.1.2

After extensive testing of an Intel AX210 using AirportItlwm together with OCLP 3.0.0 Nightly / OCLP-Mod 3.1.2, I observed some functional differences compared to a Broadcom Wi-Fi card. All tests were performed on a stable Hackintosh system where Broadcom Wi-Fi works reliably.

1) Hackintosh is not always shown as “Online” in Find My

Observation:

On other Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro), the Hackintosh does not always appear as online in the Find My app when using Intel AX210.

Technical note:

Find My presence seems to rely on Apple-specific AirPort firmware behavior. Broadcom cards implement this fully.

Intel AX210 (AirportItlwm), even with Broadcom spoofing, does not appear to provide the same integration, so Find My status is inconsistent.

2) Hidden Network UI behavior differs

Observation:

With Broadcom, macOS sometimes displays the network as “Hidden Network”.

With Intel AX210 + AirportItlwm, the network shows its real SSID, even if it is broadcast.

Technical note:

Broadcom firmware may report the network as hidden based on Apple-specific heuristics.

AirportItlwm reports only the actual SSID.

Conclusion:

Connectivity works with both cards.

The difference seems purely cosmetic / UI-level.

3) Instant Wake on Sleep

Observation:

With Intel AX210 installed, the system sometimes wakes immediately after entering sleep.

The issue disappears when the AX210 is physically removed or replaced with Broadcom.

Technical note:

macOS expects Wi-Fi hardware to enter low-power sleep states (D3cold) and mask wake events.

Broadcom cards seem to handle this correctly; Intel AX210 appears to generate spurious wake signals.

Disabling Wi-Fi or adjusting pmset does not reliably prevent the wake.

Conclusion:

Instant Wake seems to be a hardware/firmware limitation of Intel AX210 under macOS, based on my tests. Other users may experience different behavior depending on system configuration.

Based on my testing, Broadcom currently provides the most reliable macOS integration in terms of Find My, UI behavior, and sleep/wake.
Other users are welcome to share their experiences, as setups may vary.

EDIT: Point 2.) is now obsolete: “Hidden Network” also works with the AX210.

Unfortunately, I am aware of these Issues, but until someone fixes the patches for these cards, I can't do anything myself.

No worries, I know this isn’t something you can fix -  I’m just sharing my recent observations. 😉 Official patches for Intel Wi-Fi probably won’t happen, so for now we’re left with AirportItlwm + spoofing. The rest of the quirks seem to be just how Intel Wi-Fi hardware behaves with the current approach. 👍

My second WiFi card, the WiFi AX210 Wireless Card Bluetooth 5.3 with OCLP 3.0.0 and OCLP-Mod 3.1.2/3.1.3, works perfectly out of the box. Perhaps the problem lies with other motherboard features. I can ensure only for the Asrock-Z690-PG-Reptide. The second computer simply does not have an NVME connector on the board.

Including sleep/wake? My AX210 also works flawlessly with OCLP 3.0.0 Nightly and OCLP-Mod 3.1.2/3.1.3 with AirportItlwm + spoofing, apart from the three issues mentioned above. BTW.. my AX210 is PCIe, maybe this makes the difference?

@KGP-iMacProI am now totally confused about OCLP 3.0.0 being mentioned in the same context as OCLP-Mod 3.1.2/3.1.3, the latter pair being the Sino version, which I use very successfully on 4 hacks with sleep and everything  working to my satisfaction. The OCLP 3.0.0, as far as I understand, is from a different development stream, therefore now wandering whether that one can be used in place of OCLP-MOD 3.1.2/3.1.3 providing the same functionality as the Sino version with Chinese text ? If so I would like to try it out because the English text is quite appealing to me in my purely English driven hacks.

Where can I download OCLP 3.0.0 to try it out should my assumption be correct that it now provides the same functionality as the

Sino versions mentioned.

Don't be confused my friend. You can easily continue using  OCLP-Mod 3.1.2/3.1.3. With OCLP 3.0.0, I just referred to our fork of OCLP 3.0.0 Nightly. My bad (fixed now in my posts above). You know that the fork only works with amfi=0x80, whereas OCLP-Mod 3.1.2/3.1.3 work with -amfipassbeta. 😉

Maybe this makes the difference. Bat My AX210 with AirportItlwm + spoofing, also goes to sleep but won't wake up. But I configured only the monitor to go to sleep with the help of KeepingYouAwake. FENVI FV-HB1200 PCIe goes to sleep and wakes up but It works only with OCLP 3.0.0. It doesn't work with OCLP-Mod 3.1.2/3.1.3. Maybe the problem is that OCLP-Mod 3.1.2/3.1.3. is messing up the entire USB logic for me. That's why I revived the OCLP 3.0.0 fork.

My BMC943602CDP (PCIe) perfectly works with OCLP 3.0.0 Nightly and OCLP-Mod 3.1.2/3.1.3. Also no issues with sleep/wake, "Find My" or "hidden network".

My friend, that sounds like quite an adventure! 😅
Could you show me exactly how you reorder the kexts in OCAT or OCC with a screenshot? I’d love to see your workflow in action. 😉
And brr… stay warm in that −5 °C snow! Same situation here, with a forecast of −10 °C during the night. Parts of the city are even without electricity and heating. ❄️

Hi there. I can show you an example of how I ordered my kexts. Everything work fine. You may have some different kexts, depending on your configuration but I hope it helps. How to order? Select a kext in OCAT then use the "<" or ">" buttons at the right, to move it up or down in the list.

Apparently you also misunderstood the reason for my reply to @fredouille above.

In post

@D-an-W sent me a screenshot of his Kernel section and asked me to order his kexts based on his screenshot. It is obvious that the order of kexts can be changed easily by OCAT or OCC with a config.plist available, which however was not the case. Due to the screenshot, I had to list and reorder all kexts manually within the text editor for post

All this just to avoid further confusion or misunderstandings. 😉
