I can recommend the BlackMagic Disk Speed test, which is available via the App Store, and the best news is that it's free.  That's the one I use.

I can also recommend the AJA System Test lite, also free and also available via the App Store.  Some believe this can be a bit more rigorous than the BlackMagic test.

Hi all, I was able to install Beta 4. All working but Bluetooth. Its intel.My motherboard is Asus 790-e gaming.

I have these kexts for BT BlueToolFixup.kext, IntelBTPatcher.kext and IntelBluetoothFirmware.kext.

Hackintool shows the BT as an internal but i cant get it working. 

Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Yes, Aquantia can be a problem, which is too bad.  I still have one, but it's just too much trouble getting it to work reliably and every update can be a real headache to get it to work for a new OS - I just gave up.  And, I doubt CaseySJ will be updating his set of patches.

 

If your Aquantia is a card installed in your motherboard, I can recommend purchasing a used X540-AT2 (or X540-at1 if you can find it), and use the IntelLucy driver (intelLucy.dmg), which is readily available on this site (lookup @Mieze - who has written a number of ethernet drivers that are widely used in our machines).  The price on eBay is very reasonable (around $20-$25), but if you don't want used, you can buy refurbished units on Aliexpress - just make sure they are X540-AT2.  You may even find new there, if you're lucky.

 

Finally, I should note that you could also purchase a X550 on eBay or on Aliexpress too.

@BALDY_MAN I'm going to be away from my Mac for a week or two.  If it's still an issue when I get back, will be glad to take a look.

 

@surenmunoo This wouldn't be the first time that Kernel > Quirks > XhciPortLimit stopped working with a new macOS version.  I'm not saying that's the problem, but you may want to test with 15 or fewer ports and XhciPortLimit = False.  Then, if that's the problem, wait for an Acidanthera fix or the next version of Tahoe.  I rarely use XhciPortLimit = True since I keep my USB port maps at 15 or fewer ports, so I don't have much more to add.

Most computers have two or more XHCI controllers, which support up to 30 ports (15 * 2). It's also difficult to exceed the XHCI port limit😂

No way to get my two X550-AT2 NiCs of my ASUS X299 Sage 10G reliably work under Sequoia 15.5 or Tahoe with IntelLucy.kext or Apple's DEXT drivers. See all my intents at:

 

 

What works for me is the SmallTreeIntel8259x.kext up to Sequoia 15.5. Unfortunately,  under Tahoe, the latter kext is broken und produces random KPs. Disabling TSO in the config.plist of the Kext improved somewhat the situation but the kext is still unstable under Tahoe (KPs).

I choose to directly flash the EEPROM subsystem ID to 000A and automatically call AppleXGBEEthernet in macOS to achieve drive free operation without loading any other drivers.

To be honest, DriveKit has always been a troublesome issue on Hackintosh.

Disable 'DisableIoMapper' in Kernel -> Quirks

①Fix DMAR with SSDTTime

②Enable 'Disable....Mapping' in Kernel -> Quirks

①and②,choose one of them.

 

Disable related kext, such as IntelLucy.Automatically load AppleEthernetXGBE and support 10Gbit and MTU9000 after entering the system.

 

My computer is like this, you can try it. If it doesn't work, then IntelLucy is probably your best choice.

Well, @KGP-iMacPro, I have had no problems on Sequoia, Ventura, or Tahoe with my X540 adapter running IntelLucy.  The only real difference I see is we have very different motherboards.  Mine is a fairly new Z790, and it has been very good.  Does that mean the age of your motherboard is the issue?  No, such a conclusion would not be definitive, at this point. 

 

My response to another user here was not directed at you or your issues at all.  In point of fact, my post was about the issues with Aquantia cards (which I have experienced personally) and not about anything else.  btw, I read all about your attempts to get something to work with your system.  Sorry you are having issues, but many of us are following that thread and are using IntelLucy with X540 cards and are not having problems.

 

I, and many others, have had great success with IntelLucy and are very happy with that solution.

Is this what you're trying to do in Beta 4?
I did it here and it worked.
If you have trouble selecting text from the first letter/word, click in the middle of the text and after then select from the first letter/word.

I definitely tried already everything you mention above. No way to make DEXT drivers or IntelLucy reliably work on my system. Happy that the solution works well for others 👍 and many thanks for your help in this issue 🤗

No. I installed the public beta and still the graphic glitches are there when I use the automatic mode. If I use dark mode, it is ok. I checked the list of bugs in the beta and I see this one is listed too. Hope they fix it in the next release.
