I finally succeed to install 9A321. The problems was i restored the image with superdupper. When I did it with Disk Utility I was able to boot on my image and install it.

The new installer seems to be a little longer than the previous (on my venerable G4 2x867Mhz) : there is a lot of space for new "new features".

Does anyone have booting problems? I installed it off my MBP and two boots later it wouldn't turn on. I reinstalled it and no problems...yet

No problems yet. The system even sleeps and wakes up properly. I found this out accidentally when I left my computer on one day and went to work... came back to a blank screen, said "{censored}", and hoped it powered back on properly. :D

who was it that did that?

 i dont want to talk about it, but yea, it was me. (gotta get a new dhcp ip address, but its being a {censored}!)

and on a much lighter note, i have started uploading part two, and after thursday (it may rain... if it does ill just do it then.) i will upload the rest.

Hrmm.... my installer dies right in the middle.... it just freezes and sits there.

Any ideas?

I've copied to my ipod 3 times now.

I checked the file, it's not currupt..... weiirdd

on a black macbook btw

Do you mean that it freezes like the progress bar stops making the lines go across it or it stops and doesn't move? One more thing, are you erasing the ipod when you restore the image to it?

:P i dont want to talk about it, but yea, it was me. (gotta get a new dhcp ip address, but its being a {censored}!)

hope you can get it back and im glad it wasn't mash because i would lose invites if i ever got power user+

Haven't seen any new features here. Can't really tell any speed improvements (it is still indexing atm, so everything is at a stand still)

No new features found here yet.

The new black bezel in spaces - YUCK!!

I really hope they don't make it system wide

A few of the new features are implemented in the kernel and in other places (duh):

  • Native support for NFS (network file system) v4.
  • More security features further locking it down to Apple hardware.
  • More graphics cards support rotation.
  • Rosetta speed increase.

Some will be a little... more pronounced...

Yep, definitely an issue.

I used to be using it full time on my system, but a constant barrage of these sorts of annoyances has left me blowing away leopard and going back to Tiger on my personal use system.

Now it is just installed on an external hard drive so that when I "need" to compile anything, I can copy the code from my Xcode 2.4 projects over to 3.0, compile and make sure that it runs.

Give it another few weeks and another build and I will certainly be giving Leopard another chance on my personal laptop.
