@miliuco

Yes they are doing a wonderful job.

I'm writing a guide on how to build OCLP on my website and it'll be done soon, so I can send you the link as soon as it's done if you want.

Send me the link also..@Cyberdevs

The unattended upgrade from Beta 6 to Beta 7 proceeded without issues.  I'm using OC 0.8.4 [Release] with the EFI posted here.  Developers, your Open Core 0.8.4 release is working perfectly!  Thank you!

@Sherlocks and @Moviemakergr - after upgrading to Ventura Beta 7, I performed a quick BlackMagic test of a FAT-formatted USB stick and still observed the terribly slow write performance.  It appears to me that Apple has not fixed the FAT I/O issue in Ventura.

As was the case with Beta 6, in Beta 7, BlackMagic Disk Speed test started very slowly and then failed with an error when attempting to test the performance of a FAT-formatted USB 3.0 stick.

I was scrolling through this thread and observed some very long posts.  Here's a tip for some of the newer users: when you're posting large graphical content in a post, post your graphics in a spoiler:

How to insert a spoiler in your post:

At the moment I've only updated one of my Ryzentosh plus an unraid VM and the Lenovo laptop... I'll update the rest tomorrow, because today I don't feel like it anymore

I am having some serious issues, no matter what I try, I am not seeing the Update, enrol/un-enrol makes no difference. Looks like I will have to wait for the full installer and that will be a PITA in a big way.

For me it's happen in one device. When I tried to download the beta 7 it not shows at all. But in other two devices it appears in System Update.

For me USB 3.0 speeds are normal...

The problem occurs when the USB stick is formatted FAT32 (like the format of the EFI partition).

I only have problems with USB formatted in FAT32, I have tried three brands, one USB 2.0, one 3.0, one 3.1 and none of them want to mount. phillips, sandisk, and toshiba

in EXFAT put format unknown..... but read and write ok

This is a first for me, before upgrading to this board I always had notifications for the downloads so I don't really know what is happening on this new board.

Tough to diagnose without seeing your EFI.  Anything I offer would be just a wild guess.  Wasn't there an issue with RestrictEvents.kext and upgrade notices?  If so, are you using RestrictEvents.kext?

This is my folder as it stands at the moment.

CURRENT Z590-EFI (10:09:22).zip 13.93 MB · 2 downloads

Maybe changing SecureBootModel to Default or j185f may help? Then do unenroll/enroll again.

@jsl2000 Hi, could you help me, please?
Thanks in advance.

Cheers.

1. For desktop HD 4600 its ig-platform-id should be 0x0D220003 and laptop's is 0x0A260006 or 0x0A260005

2. For Ventura OCLP's version should be 0.5.0 instead of 0.4.10 or 0.4.11n

@fernando.c.neves

Write speed issue is only in FAT32 formatted memory sticks. EFI partitions, for example. Same as @deeveedee @Derty and others.

Ok, I tested with JHFS+...

Beta 7 (22A5342f) is done on X299.

However....( Solved ).

Since the last few betas I have a serious issue with HIGH CPU usage that is generated by "KernelEventAgent".  Beta 1 & 2 were ok.

After I did some research about it, this might be related to the connected SSDs/Drives  but could not find more infos about it. ( Might also be related to my NVMe controller ) The fact that I have a dozen drives  connected might be related to the issue.

• I have removed all spotlight search from any of the drives but the issue still persists.

• I was able to 'tame" the process with the app called "App Tamer" to reduce the usage of this task to 10% but I understand that this is not a permanent fix. I can still force the task to quit in activity monitor, but It starts again after wake from sleep or reboot.

Did anyone cross something similar in their system?  If so, can you bring some light?

Thanks.

PS: UPDD daemon is related to touchscreens, I just installed yesterday. the issue with KernelEventAgent existed before any xtra app installation. ( Ventura Vanilla )

The problem is exclusive to OSX Ventura. I have never crossed it with Monterey or Mojave.

EDIT 1:  Getting closer in resolving the issue. By un-mounting all of my drives (one after the other) I was able to pinpoint the issue. Seems that only two of my SSDs are generating this HIGH CPU behavior.

EDIT 2 ( Solved ) : SSDs without S.M.A.R.T. Status check will generate the HIGH CPU Behavior. Re-enabling TRIM via terminal solved it.
