Hi guys,

I'm trying to update my OpenCore 0.7.8, and in OCValidate are 3 drivers errors, can anyone help me decipher what the error is?

Thanks

Hi @eSaF

Yes I am updating to 0.7.8, but for some reason that I don't understand my sample config.plist didn't have that Comment entry.

What matters now it's that is all solved and it's working correctly, thanks to your help...

That's weird, that entry was included with a OC update some time back by the Devs. Just for clarity download OC 0.7.8 from here - https://dortania.github.io/builds/?product=OpenCorePkg&viewall=true - or here - https://github.com/dortania/build-repo/releases - have a look at the Sample.plist and you'll see the included 'Comment' entry.

Thanks I'll do that... 🤙

Older versions of ProperTree strip/remove  the "comment" variables when present in newer sample.plist files.

Upgrade to a later version of ProperTree to prevent this happening.

I think it can be an EFI partition. What happens if you click on it?

If it's the case, you can skip EFI partitions to be displayed in the picker playing with ScanPolicy in config.plist. Do you have 0 now? Check here to tune this property:

https://oc-scanpolicy.vercel.app

Thanks for your answer.

If I click on it PC boot with deepin linux grub so I have double entries with linux in OC GUI. If I click on deepin icon boot in linux directly.

I have 0 in scanPolicy. I will have a look at the link

Hi,

I'm having trouble with my debug EFI ( on external USB ) that I use for debugging purposes.

I lately updated all files from 0.6.8 to 0.7.8 and did all usual updates in config.plist too.

I can select the EFI partition to boot from in BIOS, but I never manage to boot, it stays on black screen

and nothing happens...

I tried NVRAM reset and everything else I can think of to no avail. 😞

as soon as I put the 0.6.8 debug EFI on the stick, no probs anymore

Can someone pls have a look on my config and tell me what I'm missing ?

Thanks

EDIT: checked config for errors and corrected them, still no joy..

Hi all! I'm having some problemas with my audio. It seems my integrated audio sound card doesn't work anymore after OpenCore update. What points should i check to solve this problem? I also updated the AppleALC.kext driver.

My Mobo is a Asus x299 Sage 10G

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have this config in config.plist

Same board but no audio problem here. I don't use device properties to inject audio but alcid = 1 in boot-args

Look at the screens:

Thanks for your help! But i guess i tried everything you mentioned and i just get start chime to work (i disabled again). But my internal sound card doesn't show on midi audio setup. I attach my config.plist just in case you see something wrong.

This solved the issue! I don't know why do i have to use v1.6.9 to make it work if i've never used this version and it worked pretty good.

Anyway, thank you very much to you, @Andrey1970  and Extreme :)

On the page I linked to you earlier, you can find a preview of the kexts as the OC version itself, let's say in development ...

but that already in the commits they have the improvements as in your case for ALCS1220A thanks to the constant work of the Devs 😉

I booted the X79 with the debug version of 0.7.6. Attached is the efi folder and the boot log file. Hope this is enough.

x79-debug-efi.zip 5.65 MB · 6 downloads

It succeeded to patch boot.efi, yet still failed to boot. I am afraid not much can be done here on your machine.

No problem. I ended up reinstalled Big Sur on the X79 so it would boot to the desktop. Safe mode may or may not have fixed the black screen issue I was getting.

Hey, I updated my Thinkpad X230 config, OpenCore.efi, drivers and kexts to 0.7.7 version, but it stopped booting, and I'm curious why.

This is error I get:
image.png.2033e3de1412d933267fbad30e1a3379.png

It's quite interesing because I also updated my r5 3600/rx5700 XT config, and, even if it's AMD, it works without problems. So I don't know what is an issue with my laptop...
I also tried to mess with Execution Prevention, VT-x and VT-d options in BIOS. I think GPU is not getting initialized, but I also tried to add SSDT-IMEI...
The laptop comes with Ivy Bridge CPU (i5-3320M) and HD4000 mobile iGPU. I also want to mention that I updated from 0.6.1, and it was working fine on previous "build".

Hi, I have a working system with OC 0.7.6 running Catalina (10.15.7).

But I am getting:

AAPL: [EB|#LOG:EXITBS:START]

with OC 0.7.7

My specs are:

CPU i5 3470
Board Gigabyte H77-DS3H
Memory 2X4GB (Corsair XMS3 1333MHz)
GPU MSi NVIDIA GTX 650 (1GB)

Attached my EFI and OC debug log.

Could someone kind help me with this issue?
