Please don't address us as 'Dear' - we don't mind Sir, Your Royal Highness, My Lord, mate, Buddy, Friend, Pal or even Geezer but never Dear :hysterical: - Just joking - hope you find the solution for Thunderbolt. Good luck.

I’d be happy with boomer

Hahaha threadripping started.

@Audiogod, you could add to the main page the thunderbolt 3 SSDT as an optional download since it works with our mobos flawlessly with hotplugging. I would be happy to contribute writing a step by step guide with anybody else from here that has the same card.

So "error: offset is out of range" is not important?
Yes after some research i understand that on each motherboard we need to patch something, understand which kext to use, ecc.. So i keep my GB mobo ;)
Pity that the WiFi/BT does not work due Intel CNVi connector. I hope Broadcom does a WIFI/BT module CNVi compatible, or that this limitation can be unlocked from the bios.

See my above comment

who has an Aorus Pro Wifi on 12c that can get my USB ports set up right. for some reason my wireless mouse sometimes lags (not very common, but its been noted before)

EDIT: Nevermind! gave it a second try and all seems to be working smoothly.

Something hopefully I could have help with. Ive tried to overclock my CPU many times but I am unable to get it to be stable.

I am on bios 12c, i7-9700k, g.skill ripsaw v series 16gb ddr4 2400, cooler master AOI ml240, NZXT H510 case with plenty of airflow. also on a gold rose will photon 750w modular psu and a WD 500gb NVMe M2 SSD only on Catalina. no windows install. tempted to run it for some games after I upgrade the GPU, but scared to ruin my working OS X set up as it is my daily workhorse currently.

USB3.1 TYPE-C in my image is Thunderbolt 3

type C thunerbolt 3.jpg

USB Type C = Connector Standard

USB 3.1 = Data Transfer Standard

So Thunderbolt 3 is a data transfer standard that uses the USB Type C connector. You'll need to get a card that will plug into the TB3 header on the motherboard. I'm using Gigabyte GC-Titan Ridge.

Yes, it's confusing. It took me a little bit of research to tease it out. In fact, Thunderbolt 1 and 2 use the Display Port connector, which is mostly known for hooking up monitors.

I’m only playing don’t worry buddy, that was extremely entertaining to be fair the other day with mr Dear...lolololol

I don’t believe he is for real though and nor do a few others......lol (we smell a troll)

Well, I'm trying to test my Thunderbolt card by putting my MBP in target disc mode. It's not mounting on the desktop.

The MBP is pretty old, so it is using TB1. I have it hooked up using a TB2 to TB3 adapter (I assume that since TB1 and TB2 use the same connector it should work). I've tried plugging it in while the Hackintosh is running and booting it with MBP already in target disc mode.

I don't see it in the System Report or Hackintool. Should I just order a FW adapter and test it that way? It seems that people have had good results with FW to TB3. Maybe I'm bumping up on some limitations of the TB3 card.

You need to talk to @texem as he has done the ground work with these cards and has it working beautifully.

I think anyone that has different devices with thunderbolt connection should report before we writh guide.

I only have my fw400 card connected via

Tb3 to tb2 adapter, then tb to fw800 adapter, then fw800 to fw400 cable. Before i use the ssdt and do the correct bios settings AFTER i have installed the driver in windows, i had signal loss of the audio card. Now works great. I dont have any TB camera or disk to test.

What did you change ?

That panic looks related to the NVME driver... Maybe try booting with -x and rebuilding the kernel caches or if your have an NVME kext in the EFI remove it.. Not sure what your setup is if your using NVME or not..

did you flash your Titan Ridge with the modified binary or is it stock fw ?

Ahhh texem there you are.

Where are the files and the process for flashing the Titan Ridge? I saw you mentioned that some time ago but couldnt find the info.

That could also be added on the main page!

Ahh i see, you mean the DSM2 mod for the old mac pro's? I saw that you need an eeprom flasher for that. Too risky for the average user i believe unless i missed something.
