n19htz
Hey, at which slot you put wifi/bluetooth card (usb conector)? My mac wakes up instantly after it goes sleep. My EFI folder and bios settings exactly like in the last update, just I use DSDT.aml for RX (I got 580rx). The only internal usb slots ive got on auros pro mb - both of them usb2.0 hubs and I think bluetooth part of the wifi/bluetooth card connected to one of them is what causing to waking up immediatly Edited March 30, 2020 by n19htz Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/339980-audiogods-aorus-z390-pro-patched-dsdt-mini-guide-and-discussion/page/90/#findComment-2714548 Share on other sites
dsynos80
Happily reporting, working now with 19.1 smbios, igpu disabled, latest kexts and drivers from AG, 10.14.6, system works better than ever. Question: i also copied Fsinject.efi driver. Do i need it or is it obsolete and i should remove it? alboz83
Oh guys i'm confused about MSR unlock for z390 Pro Wifi For now i'm using MSR trick of AudioGod, but maybe is better to unlock it completely. I see that there isn't file profile yet for Pro Wifi, so what should I do? I prefer to not flash a full firmware, as he said AudioGod. Moreover i have problem with my hackintosh, my External Usb 3.0 Hdd is not recognized on all usb port, and also my Dlink Wifi Usb adapter today is not recognized on the same port that worked yesterday 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/339980-audiogods-aorus-z390-pro-patched-dsdt-mini-guide-and-discussion/page/90/#findComment-2714584 Share on other sites

As long as there’s no code written into the apps themselves for AMD CPUs there really is no way around it. You can make Catalina perfect using a ryzen but that’s not enough. Lets get something straight here too. I can’t stand intel and I think there CPUs are second rate compared to a Ryzen 3000 series and even more so the upcoming 4000 series and if I didn’t need macOS my build wouldn’t have a intel inside. The nice thing about AG’s patched bios is that the MSR lock is unlocked, permanently. If you rely on a profile, it’s exactly the same as using the grub method. Resetting that profile, reflashing the bios will all but wipe out your unlock. https://github.com/datasone/grub-mod-setup_var just make sure to use the setup_var_3. The value to unlock for this board is: 0x5C1 Yes, do it yourself. It is dead simple to do and you can be sure it works on your machine. I know I have a specific set of BIOS settings that I like to use for my machine. Also, anyone on the WiFi version of the board, be sure you have updated the BIOS to 12c. I've seen a lot of mentions of non updated boards. AudioGod's EFI works only with the 12c BIOS. Clover works just fine. Has for 10 years and will for the foreseeable future. Slice and the team make updates all the time. Not a whole lot of documentation of what they've done , but they do update. There is no need to feel forced to move to OpenCore just because it is the latest and greatest. It may be the future, but no need to jump quite yet. It isn’t even at version 1 yet. @AudioGod has been a godsend to AORUS Pro and Pro Wifi, and Master users. But you shouldn’t rely on him having to update your EFI for each and every update. You need to maintain your EFI yourself. With tools like Hackintool, that is very easy to do. Update Clover and kexts when you feel necessary. I do it almost every time there is an update but the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" rule does apply here 2 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/339980-audiogods-aorus-z390-pro-patched-dsdt-mini-guide-and-discussion/page/90/#findComment-2714665 Share on other sites

I'd like to learn but don't know where to begin. All of the guides so far that I have found are more like tipsheets to nudge people who already know what they're doing in the right direction. Or is this more than a net guide can do; do I need to start with a paper book ACPI reference guide? Any bump in the right direction would be appreciated. Edited March 31, 2020 by Project 2501 Oops.
