Ok i just look your method on yt, its just a joke for some fapfap boy. I used Gelid pasta all time. always do this method; little more pasta and a good pressure do the rest.

That Gelid paste is very thick but works well.

I only use thermal grizzly paste for myself. I swear by the stuff.

Hi guys, new here. Just joined after seeing this thread....

I have the exact hardware listed, iGPU only for now but in a couple of days I will have a Vega56 to add in. I'm having trouble installing MacOS at all however. Clover is not seeing the bootable volume for Catalina that I have created. I don't suppose anyone has a clue as to what I can try? I have used the recomended BIOS config settings and the EFI file for my current config. I would really like to get this up and running ASAP to do some work.

Thanks all.

@kayler the EFI works fine on my end after I remove a few devices. I've been saturated all of my PCIE lanes and that causes some issues which need further investigation. Try using another Memory driver instead of OCquirks to see if it works for you. Each system config, even though having the same board, will have slight different memory alocation.

If you have a lot of USB problem, I suggest you remove all of USB patches and add them in again. Open the config plist file and remove ALL usb port limit patches then add the following back to the file:

Line 1:

Name*: com.apple.iokit.IOUSBHostFamily
Find*: 83FB0F0F
Replace*: 83FB3F0F

Line 2

Name* com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBXHCI
Find*: 83F90F0F
Replace*: 83F93F0F

Then double check the DSDT patch to see if it's correct on yours.

@larabee, at this moment, the memory errors only appears when i try to boot macos after booting windows, i need to had reset bios to solve it, i will try several memory fix.

And the usb, only works if i include usbinjectall, i will try editting the config.

After one week or more, if my system is stable, i will try to add wifi, bluetooth and 5700xt, because i need a stable system to work.

Many thanks

The reason your getting boot failures is because the EFI isn’t running right on your system and usb is wrong so it’s having troubles buddy.

@kayler I’m going to experiment and make you a blind EFI and see if I can narrow down what’s going on for you. When you on here next let me know buddy and il get to work for you? :)

Oh Dear, DRM is broken on a Rx 570.

This is a fault of Apples and is repaired in the next upcoming update (10.15.4)

also you need to update you bios to the latest revision for your board as F11 is incorrect for my dsdt.

also you are using the incorrect EFI folder, Use this one pal.

Z390 Pro Polaris Clover EFI 140220.zip

Yeap with that efi folder my hackintosh turn blocked... so I added a new argument to my boot "-shikioff"  with that argument the safari opened Netflix without blocking.. but now shows an error.. Im using chrome

Yeap my bios is F11 version.

Thanks again

I finally fixed my USB power problemes, that prevent devices to power up before booting to an OS. In BIOS when enabling fast boot there is an option for power management before boot. I enabled full power and now it's fianlly working. It seems like fast boot is not effecting Clover at this time. Are any risks keeping it enabled?

Ah ok,

you shouldn’t use fast boot really for macOS or windows as it bypasses littles tests that most people think are important. Me personally think that’s not a good move but I can’t say the eff3cts in the long term if any.

@AudioGod, don't worry and many thanks, I send you my EFI

So I'm stumped on this one no amount of google-fu.

There's a delay in emojis being placed into the message box. A long one. I've tested a real Mac and there is a slight one (.5s) but on my Hack it's a good 3-4s to go from emoji picker to message box. Is this the 5700 XT?

Hey Bud,

I just had a go on my hack as I’ve never heard of that one before and it’s totally normal for me, bare in mind though I’m using the Z390 Master so just get somebody on a pro board to double confirm for you.

PCI info is purely cosmetic with zero effect on the system but if you ask MaLD0n you can get your own dsdt made up. The pro WiFi and pro board are identical in layout and pcie lanes used and even the pcb so I can’t see a benefit personally.

To Create Your Own Patched DSDT Message @MaLd0n using the link bellow

https://www.olarila.com/forum/17-dsdt-patch-requests/

(If you want a perfect setup then getting your own patched DSDT made would be the best thing to do, Mine will work perfectly fine but different hardware no matter how small a change it is can tend to have some sort of effect on the DSDT and your setup)

What message box you have problem on? I assume the iMessage?

I'm using a 5700XT too and the emojis are working fine, no delay at all. On my real iMac pro, it's instant. I tested it on FB, iMessage, and almost anything that support emojis. The only thing Ive not tested is the Animoji.

I've noticed some delays like that when running iMac19,1 with the iGPU enabled. For example, you'll see a 4 second delay when opening activity monitor. This happens on a real iMac19,1 as well. I'm running on iMacPro1,1 - and the delay is no longer there for activity monitor. Not sure if this affects the issue you are seeing, but maybe worth a shot.

Adding to this, click on about this Mac, there is a delay before the graphic card show up. Not sure if this is 5700XT problem or not.

But definitely the emojis are just as fast as it is on my iPhone or iPad.

Interesting. I hadn’t thought about the model affecting this. Makes sense tho. Thanks :)

I also see a delay in AM btw.

The delay on the graphic card details appearing can be solved by adding your card manually to your Bootloader.
