Hey guys, today I tried to update Clover (from 4905 to newest version) and kexts and now I‘m running into a kernel panic. I rebootet after clover update and it worked. Then copied updated kexts to the Efi folder. Then kernel panic appeared.  I‘m still on Bios F9 and used glasgood initial EFI + a custom usbkext created with hackintool. Any ideas whats going on here?

What is your pmset configuration? Mine is this:

Also, regarding the hack waking when you approach, I think it is related to the proximitywake setting. If you don't like this behaviour you can turn it of either in Hackintool or by typing:

pmset -a proximitywake 0

Yeah I have those 2 enabled. And it’s quite useful as I walk in and out many times during the day. I really don’t know that’s a real mac feature haha.

@Cipha find a way to get access to your efi again ( boot to windows and mount the efi folder, perhaps) Replace your efi with audiogod efi and, the update your bios to f12d. Load the profile stated in the first post then you’re good to go again.

OK since I had some work to do, I updated BIOS and used Audiosgods EFI. It's booting up again. Thats a progress. But I have this weird issue that there's no mouse or keyboard pre boot. I neither can enter BIOS nor navigate in Clover. After boot into mac os everything is working as expected. Any ideas how to fix that?

preboot, there’s no way the efi can interfere with the usb....

Try moving your keyboard and mouse to usb 2 ports and try again, this is a motherboard bios issue rather and efi issue. If that doesn’t work, pull the battery out of the board and wait couple mins to clear bios, don’t load the profile yet and see if you have the keyboard working preboot

Hello, I need help. Today I try update Mojave to Catalina.
1. Download macos from appstore

2. Replaced my efi folder to  “HD630 Z390 Pro F12d EFI 140220.zip”

3. Updated bios to F12d.
After that install Catalina, and see this login screen ->

But keyboard and mouse don’t work. I cant login or finalize installation.
USB ports problems? Any ideas?

Hi all, still no memory problems with my previous OCquirks.plist... but I noticed recently something very worrying about navi GPU fan control... It's in the current discussion topic with sleep.

I have pmset with displaysleep set to 2 and sleep set to 0 so the screen goest to sleep while the hack still runs (Plex server, etc.). But I noticed recently that the fans of my Nitro+ 5700 XT do not spin back up correctly once I wake up the screen. I don't know how I havent fried my GPU yet but basically when you run something GPU intensive like LuxMark the GPU fans (which are off at low temps on this card) spin up pretty quickly after you start it. After waking up the computer from display sleep... they don't. Going to real sleep and back up seems to solve it. Does this happen for anyone else (please test carefully) ? I'm not 100% sure here because I don't want to test too much.

First of all, a huge thanks for all the time and effort that has gone into this. I'm hoping someone might be able to help me get up and running with Catalina, at this point I'd even be happy with Mojave, I've been at it this for 2 days straight and can't figure it out.

Basically, after booting from USB I'm getting stuck at the install screen with, “internet connection required”? I'm not using the reccommended wi-fi cards suggested and was hoping that I would be able to use the built in ethernet instead?

Steps so far:

Removed both GTX 1080's

Updated BIOS to F12d

Used reccommended bios settings

Used gibMacOS to download Catalina and put to USB

Replaced EFI with AudioGod's IGPU EFI (HD630 Z390 Pro F12d EFI 140220.zip)

I've tried copying an Intel I219V kext to the Others folder.

Tried changing clover config (InjectLan -> True)

Tried using a previous build of clover

Does your keyboard and mouse work up until you get to the login?

did you try pulling out the keyboard and mouse usb connections and then plugging them back in or trying a different USB port?

I will check on my Nitro and let you know, I have a reference 5700 xt hooked into my system at the second and I tried with that one and all is normal.

@texem could you check on your beast please bro and see if your Nitro is doing that?

Never heard of that happening to anybody before, Ethernet works from the off.

I must be cursed! A google search brought up some other folks who have experienced something similar, one suggestion was to install Mojave then upgrade.

check your dhcp

My DHCP usually assigns automatically, I'm not familiar with MacOS and can't see anywhere to manually input. I am connected to a Wi-Fi extender, not sure if that would cause any issues.

Thanks for checking... weird problem that I have. One difference is that I'm on Clover. What is the position of the bios switch on your GPU (mine is towards the back of the PC) ?

Clover or OC won’t make a difference buddy and clover is still the king bootloader at this movement in time, (in my and larabee opinions)

don’t use the auto select bios position in fact I would recommend using it with the power saving bios for now. Myself and @larabee have done a lot of 5700xt testing for the past few days, between us we have a good few variants of the card and the aftermarket ones seem to act a lot more strangely compared to the reference 5700xt and we both believe it has something to do with the drivers / power delivery hence why I’m currently using a reference card instead of my nitro (I’m still under test conditions).

if you have more then one monitor hooked up then try dropping down to a sin screen and see if the problem remains?

Same with Mojave too! Slightly different error, "The recovery server could not be contacted". This so frustrating. If anyone has any ideas I'm all ears.

have you tried if possible plugging directly into your router and see if the problem persists?

have you checked the ethernet settings in your network preferences?

mouse and keyboard work in BIOS and in clover settings. After loading this login screen opens and no usb port for the mouse or keyboard anymore works. tried to rearrange to all other ports, the same thing.

But, I install Catalina from Mojave (Update). Not fully clear installation.

I tried with the switch in the middle position (power saving in theory ? It's actually annoyingly difficult to find info on the switch positions !) and it still happens. I'm using a single monitor.

can you try this:

open terminal in installation, run command to make sure your ethernet card work

ifconfig en0 up

Then run command to set dhcp automatically

ipconfig set en0 DHCP

If this doesn’t solve the issue, plug in directly to router without using extender.

1. Switch towards the fans - Performance mode.
2. Switch towards the middle - Silent mode
3. Switch towards the display & HDMI ports - Trixx software mode.

i'm using TRIXX and configured (via Windows) the Performance mode. Trixx because i don't need the light-show

Not sure how to get to network preferences from this screen, clicking the Apple logo only gives option to shutdown, restart or select disk.

Tried hooking up directly to the router, same thing. Am I right in thinking that IntelMausi.kext is used to make ethernet work? Is there any way I can find out if this kext is successfully injected? I'm using the same config that's included in the AudioGod's EFI. I don't understand what could possibly be different from my setup compared to anyone else's, baffled.

The board is still the same, so in theory it should not cause any problem. Did you load the BIOS profile attached in the guide for bios version 12D?

Are you talking about the CFG Unlock profile? If so, no I didn't. I thought that was just for users with graphics cards. I'll give it a go, I'm desparate at this point.

If En0 is not present, then your ethernet card is not functioning. That's the issue. Load the Bios profile and give it a try again. Use the unlocked 12D profile.

1 - Download the profile and save it to a USB Key

2 - Go into the bios,

3 - Load the profile,

4 - Save and exit

5 - Go straight back into the bios and save your bios to a new profile and name it Default CFG Unlocked or something like that.

6 - Boot back into Catalina go into your clover config and under Kernal and Kext Patches Uncheck KernalPM ✘

7 - Save the changes and then restart and your done, your motherboard will now be CFG (MSR) Unlocked ✘

Still the same. However there is one thing I noticed in the BIOS > Settings > Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (7) I219-V - [MAC ADDR] > Link Status: Disconnected!
